Couple days old, still thought I'd discuss it

Ridiculous in the sense that it's actually front page news back home (still kind of humourous i think).. who has heard about this licensing deal with CTV/TSN and the purchase of the rights for "The Hockey Theme" (see video below)? Deemed Canada's second national anthem and has been played every saturday night during the hockey season since the 60's, it's gone from the CBC and will probably be played on "TSN's Wednesday Night Hockey"

I'm relatively young, but when I hear this song I still see in my mind the opening credits from the early 90's and get the scent of my dad's Molson Canadian being opened!

Next thing you know, TSN will purchase the dorky theme before "Coach's Corner with Don Cherry"...only without Don Cherry! hahaha

This is a big story in Canada. CBC totally dropped the ball on this one. It's going to be weird hearing the HNIC theme song on TSN.
