Not really, he does not mention the Kurds without whom he would not have been able to boast about beating ISIS. The Kurds are in extreme danger from Erdogan who claims they are terrorists.

Shows extreme cynicism by saying Europe should stay and watch over the captured ISIS fighters and families while the US forces are running for the exit.

I assumed you made that up, I just saw the tweet, I just, wow, I mean, just wow, what a dick. I bet Putin used that phrase to butter him up and he liked it.

And he was not topless

Meanwhile today's surprise
Quote:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell -- criticized President Donald Trump over his decision to remove US troops from northern Syria as Turkey plans a military offensive there.

McConnell urged Trump to reverse his move, saying "a precipitous withdrawal of US forces from Syria would only benefit Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime."

"I urge the President to exercise American leadership to keep together our multinational coalition to defeat ISIS and prevent significant conflict between our NATO ally Turkey and our local Syrian counterterrorism partners," said McConnell.
"Major new conflict between Turkey and our partners in Syria would seriously risk damaging Turkey's ties to the United States and causing greater isolation for Turkey on the world stage."

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump's live speech right not is abominable. In one sentence, he's gone from talking about the families of troops killed in action to his poll ratings. What a effing knobhead!

Was the pullout from Syria planned ahead or is this just something to divert attention away from the Ukraine affair ( normal practice for Trump )?

Nothing is actually planned in Trump times.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Just LOL!

Quote:
For the past several years, US Senator Lindsey Graham has transformed himself from one of Trump’s fiercest critics, into one of his most reflexive defenders.

Graham told himself: by staying close to Trump, he could influence him and prevent horribly bad decisions.

Despite Graham’s compulsive turd-polishing of the past few years, Trump didn’t even consult him before making the decision to abandon the Kurds. Graham, who had given up so much self-respect to prevent just this outcome, was not even in the room. He didn’t even get a text.

This is the thing about Faustian bargains. The price is high and the rewards turn out to be illusory.
They end badly.

My impression is that it was an off-the-cuff reaction to a request from Erdogan during a recent phone call.

The GOP majority Senate Intelligence Committee today released volume two of its Russia investigation report, which concluded that Russians sought "to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election by harming Hillary Clinton’s chances of success and supporting Donald Trump at the direction of the Kremlin," according to a committee press release.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
China on Tuesday rejected President Trump's call for Beijing to investigate 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, saying it has no desire to impose itself in U.S. domestic affairs.

“China has long pursued the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries,” foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told the South China Morning Post.

“We have no intention of intervening in the domestic affairs of the United States. Our position is consistent and clear.”
No surprise!

Planned Parenthood's super PAC announced a $45 million electoral campaign Wednesday to defeat President Trump and Republicans in key Senate races.

The investment will fund "large-scale" grassroots organization programs and canvass, digital, television, radio and mail programs.
