But then he did give some consolation

"As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I've done before!),"
I assume "I've done before" refers to his own bankruptcies; he has not destroyed any other economies?

BTW, just found this article in the Helsinki Times that claims Trump tweeted throughout his meeting with Finnish President Niinistö?

Source

Probably President Niinistö was happy that Trump was quiet.

Giuliani associates who aided Ukraine investigation arrested on campaign finance charges
. It doesn't appear that the allegations are related to the controversy over Giuliani's work in Ukraine.

It doesn't appear that the allegations are related to the controversy over Giuliani's work in Ukraine.
The indictment stated that the contributions “were made for the purpose of gaining influence with politicians so as to advance their own personal financial interests and the political interests of Ukrainian government officials, including at least one Ukrainian government official with whom they were working.”

From a Trump lawyer ""As the indictment states, neither the President nor the campaign were aware,” Jay Sekulow said in a statement to NBC News."
Actually the indictment does not state that; Trump is not even mentioned.

Source

Meanwhile, Trump continues attacking ex-AG Sessions and spreading his ridiculous conspiracy theory. This theory is the Democratic National Committee (DNC) had a server with some secret Hillary stuff on it that they refused to hand over to the FBI and now the server is hidden in Ukraine. He even asked Ukraine President to look for it.
Quote:
The server, they say Ukraine has it.
This theory has some gaping holes. Firstly the DNC gave the FBI a complete server dump which they agreed was complete so no need for the physical server.
Secondly, if you wanted to hide what was on a server you would not unplug it and ship it somewhere foreign; you would simply copy onto some convenient media and lock it up somewhere. I mean, you can easily buy 1TB USB drives, anyway probably her emails would be only 1 or 2Gb.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
A federal appeals court on Friday ruled against President Trump in his attempt to quash a subpoena for his financial records from House Democrats.

The Democratic-led House Oversight and Reform Committee issued a subpoena in April to Trump's accounting firm, Mazars USA, seeking years' worth of financial records on Trump and several of his business entities.

Cummings told committee members that he wanted the information from Mazars to investigate whether Trump has engaged in illegal conduct, has any conflicts of interest or is complying with the Constitution's Emoluments Clause and to investigate whether Trump has accurately reported his finances to federal ethics officials.
I assume Trump will try to get the Supreme Court interested, if not, finally the Dems will have his financial records.

Meanwhile
A federal judge in Texas declared on Friday that President Trump's proclamation of a national emergency on the southern border is unlawful, blocking the plan to divert funding for a border wall.

Another federal judge in New York has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s “public charge” rule linking immigrants’ legal status to their use of public benefits.

Judge George Daniels in the Southern District of New York issued a temporary nationwide injunction stopping the administration from enforcing the requirements, as well as a stay of the effective date.

Good time to be a constitutional lawyer.
Trump should take advice from Obama who is expert on this topic!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump has announced a "mini" trade deal with China which falls a long way short of what was expected, may not be accepted by China and has little in the way of detail?
Quote:
President Trump said that he and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He had agreed to principles for a deal that would cancel a tariff increase scheduled for Tuesday, lead to $40-$50 billion of Chinese agricultural purchases, and tackle some intellectual property issues.

The deal still needs to be approved by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and would only be written and signed in the coming weeks, throwing some uncertainty into the mix.
Source

Looks like a major Trump climb down

Basically Trump has canceled the next promised round of tariff increases.
The Dow, after a big rise today, fell almost 200 points after this disappointing announcement.

The White House accidentally sent Democrats a list of talking points related to ex-Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch’s Friday House deposition, two sources with knowledge of the email told The Hill, the second time in a month the administration has sent its Ukraine talking points to Democrats.
"talking points" are basically a list of excuses and counter-accusations used to defend actions.
Sending these to the "other side" defeats their entire purpose

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
It is claimed Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are reportedly investigating whether President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani's dealing with Ukraine broke lobbying laws.
Difficult to check as the Feds usually keep secret who they are investigating.

President Donald Trump sought Friday to distance himself from attorney Rudy Giuliani, even casting doubts about whether the former New York mayor is still his lawyer. Asked whether Giuliani remained his personal attorney, Trump said: “I don’t know.”
Giuliani claimed later he is still Trump's lawyer but did not say that Trump had confirmed that.

Meanwhile as posted yesterday, a federal judge in New York temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s “public charge” rule linking immigrants’ legal status to their use of public benefits.
Now judges in California and Washington have made similar rulings.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan has resigned, he was the fourth Security Secretary under Trump. Most of the top jobs in immigration enforcement are being filled on an acting basis.
Mark Morgan is leading CBP on an acting basis,
Matt Albence is serving as the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Ken Cuccinelli is the acting head of Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, who was relieved of her post and recalled to Washington in May, delivered damning testimony to the House yesterday
Source

Storm clouds are increasing around Trump, mostly due to his own incompetence. He seems incapable of choosing good people for top jobs, there is a constant flow of people leaving.
He constantly makes poor decisions that are reversed by the US courts.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

And another one sails out the revolving White House door - this time after only 6 months.

"The acting head of US Homeland Security, Kevin McAleenan, has resigned after six months in the post.

In a tweet, President Donald Trump said Mr McAleenan wanted to spend more time with his family. He said his replacement would be named next week.

Mr McAleenan, 48, is the fourth person to serve as the head of Homeland Security during Mr Trump's tenure.

He has overseen the president's tough policies aimed at curbing immigration across the Mexican border.

However, analysts have described a turbulent relationship between the two and Mr McAleenan has criticised the tone of the immigration debate.

Recently he was shouted off stage by student protesters at a university in Washington DC."

Now the Democratic senator and presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren is taking the fight to the social media company’s own turf by taking out a series of Facebook ads that make false statements about Facebook and its chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg.

Trump is a very successful man. Within a few years he has diminished the standards of communication and problem solving and it's soon to reach his level throughout the world.

While this action of E. Warren might be funny to some who also bother reading about the "clue" that it is false, to the 90% who don't bother collecting information additional to headlines, it will have the same effect as Trump's BS has.

The 21st century is gonna go down in history as the ages of stupidity and simpletons. But then, Greta says we will never become history......

Watch for dilated pupils even when facing flash photography.
The rare but serious side effects of Sudafed can include:

very fast heart rate
trouble breathing
hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t there)
psychosis (mental changes that cause you to lose touch with reality)

heart problems, such as chest pain, increased blood pressure, and irregular heartbeat
heart attack or stroke

Surely not

Absolutely true.
And David Pakman did a good job. There was no need to mentioned some blabblers who can not stand up for their opinions/suspicions/worries.

We know there are millions of such useless cowards out there.
We need David Pakmans, sod the others.
