Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Kurds are now saying they will work with the Russians also against the Turkish invasion.

If so, will be a bit of a bloody nose for Erdogan who has been courting the Russians as a lever against the West and US.

While the US gave Kurds weapons they never gave anti-aircraft stuff and very limited numbers of anti-tank missiles.
If the Russians and Syrians are more generous then it will be another bloody nose for Erdogan especially if the missiles happen to slip over the border into Kurdish areas of Turkey.

I do not see how it will be practical now for the Kurds to hand over their ISIS prisoners to Turkey as Trump promised, so what happens next to them is unclear.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Fusion GPS founders to release a book on Trump’s ties with Russia. Fusion was the company that subcontracted ex-English spy Christopher Steele.
The book argues that Steele’s memos – which were passed to the FBI, which briefed President Obama and Trump – were substantially correct.

Source

Should be an entertaining book, look forward to a tweetstorm!!

Meanwhile, a fake video of President Trump shooting, stabbing and brutally assaulting media personalities and political opponents was played at a conference for his supporters at his Miami resort last week.

The deal I just made with China is, by far, the greatest and biggest deal ever made for our Great Patriot Farmers in the history of our Country.
In fact, there is a question as to whether or not this much product can be produced?
Our farmers will figure it out. Thank you, China!

Question is does this deal really exist or just more Trump.....

From today's papers
Quote:
China reportedly wants more talks to hammer out details on a [Phase One] trade deal promoted by President Trump before it is signed by President Xi Jinping.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin told CNBC on Monday that he expects to have a deal, but if not, tariffs will go into place on December 15.
Source

Seems there are still some key points to agree.

Quote:
Contrary to the president’s braggadocio, China’s official response outlined in the People’s Daily does not inspire much confidence: “People believe that only by removing all the levied tariffs to seek a true trade war truce, taking constructive moves to seek trade balance and seeking a ‘maximum common divisor’ for common interests, can trade and economic problems be resolved.”

The Chinese indicated this deal is far from done: “The final outcome will depend on whether the U.S. can walk together with China, and create the necessary and sufficient conditions to push ahead.”
Source

"Based on its past records, Washington may at any time decide to cancel the agreement if it thinks the cancellation served its interest best," the state-run newspaper China Daily said in an editorial Sunday.

Trump has really destroyed the US credibility in international negotiations by spontaneously canceling deals without the usual pre-discussions.

Yep, pretty good given you already brought it yourself a week ago.

But then he did give some consolation

"As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I've done before!),"

Poor old Sean. Perhaps someone should have told him that even in a choreographed dance the man's supposed to lead.

He didn’t do too badly! A bit cloddy and he lost his timing once or twice but his posture was good and he was good in hold.

I watch too much Strictly...

He really does seem to be enjoying himself. He had the worst start ever for a WH press secretary and I think he's handled himself well since. He's probably glad he's out of there and living his own life. He's made it through week 5 of the competition, which is not bad.

Sure, but if you've never done ballroom dancing before you won't know how to make all the right steps at the right time, much less lead the dance. Part of the competition is how much the celeb dancer improves. It's not about coming out of the gate dancing like Travolta.

And perish the thought that Donald Trump could take to the dance floor of Dancing with the Stars
whenever his term of office finishes in the White House.

Those bone spurs would probably kill his Quickstep and prevent his Paso Doble.
