Interesting times! NYC Bar is a very large and respected private group. | Quote: | | | | The New York City Bar Association (NYCBA) on Wednesday ordered Attorney General William Barr to recuse himself from any future or current Department of Justice review regarding the Trump administration's conduct with the Ukrainian government.
"We hope that Mr. Barr will act promptly to remedy, at least in part, his prior failure to recuse himself from the Ukraine Matter," the association said in a statement.
The NYCBA continued: "If he fails either to recuse himself or to resign, Mr. Barr should be subject to appropriate Congressional sanctions, including possible removal from office, in order to restore the Office of the Attorney General and the DOJ to their historic roles as defender of the law on behalf of the American people." | | | | | Source
Sadly I understand they have no power to enforce this.
Meanwhile, a judge ruled today the State Department must begin turning over documents related to the Trump administration's dealings with Ukraine within 30 days.
This is enforcement of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the State Department by American Oversight, an ethics watchdog organization.

Theatre of the absurd | Quote: | | | | Senate today confirms Trump judicial pick labeled 'not qualified' by American Bar Association (ABA).
The ABA noted in its review that Walker “has a very substantial gap, namely the absence of any significant trial experience.” | | | | | Source
Meanwhile | Quote: | | | | Judge Andrew Napolitano, an analyst for Fox News, said Thursday that the Republicans are protesting their own rules for impeachment inquiries.
Napolitano said on “Fox and Friends” that Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) is following the impeachment rules that Republicans put in place with a GOP majority in 2015. | | | | | Incidentally, in 2015 the GOP led Congress investigation into Benghazi was also behind closed doors. | Quote: | | | | TREY GOWDY after kicking DARRELL ISSA out of a Benghazi deposition:
"[Issa] is not a [Benghazi] committee member & non-committee members are not allowed in the room during the deposition. Those are the rules & we have to follow them, no exceptions made."

Meanwhile in Syria we are back to murder videos being posed online.
6 days after the OK for Erdogans Kurd killlfest is OK'd Kurdish politician dragged from her car and murdered. "The woman was beaten with a solid body [object] on the head ... and on the bottom of the left leg, which led to the fractures of the two bones of the leg, and also beating by sharp objects on the posterior face of the legs, and dragged from her hair causing the hair to take off ... with the skin from the back of the head." - Hevrin Khalaf autopsy
Turkish TV called the murder "A successful operation".
Every military expert said the US should not withdraw but what does this dickhead of a president need of experts when he has his colossal gut to guide him. Hey Spanky fans, running out of justifications much?

Funny how everybody, including Trump himself, believes Obama is the gold standard President to be measured against.
Agree with your Syria comments.

Some of the Reps that stormed the impeachment hearing (despite there being Reps on the committee they were storming) reportedly asked police to arrest them and march them out in handcuffs, <cringe> this is so embarrassing.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Friday confirmed that the United States will send some “mechanized” reinforcements into eastern Syria to protect against possible attacks by ISIS fighters on oil fields held by U.S. partner forces. | | | | | Source
Confusing!
Trump has claimed several times ISIS is defeated and he is bringing the US troops home.
So why is the Pentagon defying Trump and sending more US troops to defend against a non-existent enemy? This is an escalation for the US who have not before sent such armored vehicles to Syria so also defying Trump?
It is not clear what will happen to the Kurds currently guarding these oil fields!
Meanwhile, it is rumored the NY FBI investigation of Guiliani has expanded to include the Washington DC FBI criminal investigation group.
It is also claimed the Justice Department under Attorney General William Barr has reportedly opened a criminal investigation into its own Russia probe.
The threshold needed by the federal government to open a criminal inquiry is "reasonable indication" that a crime has taken place but with an "objective, factual basis for initiating the investigation," according to department rules. | Quote: | | | | A coalition of Federal Inspectors General working in the Trump administration is urging the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel to withdraw or modify its opinion that the whistleblower complaint regarding President Donald Trump's communications with Ukraine was not of "urgent concern," a determination that initially blocked the allegations from reaching Congress. | | | | | Source
Yet another example of the DOJ apparently providing political cover for the President.
Edit; It is claimed lawyers for former national security adviser John Bolton have had talks with the three House committees leading the impeachment inquiry about a possible deposition. | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

It seems that not only should we be worried about Spanky's age-linked issues but now also his lawyer!! | Quote: | | | | President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani appeared to accidentally call an NBC News reporter and leave a voicemail in which he can be heard discussing money, “we need a few hundred thousand”.
NBC published a portion of the audio voice mail recording | | | | | Source
