The "Trump War Room" (part of Trump's reelection campaign) has tweeted out a video lifted from the Avengers:Endgame movie, showing Trump's head crudely grafted onto Thanos' body. Trumnos clicks his fingers to wipe out the Democrats as they table their articles of impeachment.



Only problem is (well, problems are, to be grammatically accurate):

• Thanos is an arch-villain hell-bent on destroying everybody in the world
• The scene from the movie that these geniuses have selected is the one where, as one comment puts it, "his plan to kill everyone in the universe falls apart due to his arrogance and incompetence"
• If Trump is Thanos, that makes Pelosi Iron Man... oops
• The unauthorized use of the footage plus the imbecility of the "message" has led Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos, to call Trump a "pompous fool" with an "infantile ego" in a widely reported interview with The Hollywood Reporter: "After my initial feeling of being violated, seeing that pompous fool using my creation to stroke his infantile ego, it finally struck me that the leader of my country and the free world actually enjoys comparing himself to a mass murderer."

Oh dear. Trump's team could at least have watched the Avengers movies before shooting themselves, and Trump, in both feet.
