Now it's all clear, you and Phos are Krembots! the EU did not want Ukraine, rather Ukraine wanted to join the EU so you are peddling Kremlin propaganda, I get it now
Ha. Would that make you warmonger then? Sorry Komrade, but I was just trying to exercise peaceful and rational thinking.

He says it well but don't understand why the Shakespeare reference. I have a slow day...

Is he the buffoon or what?
Buffoon would be the least of our worrries. I fear it is much worse than that.

Perhaps you didn't this from yesterday, so posting again:

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The conjecture here seems to indicate that this move is meant to throw Trump into strategic thinking, I hope this doesn't blow up in all our faces.

Just going back to the dossier, I've read this Reuters article a few times now and seen it reported by other news agencies. If anything, the fact that this guy is behind the FIFA report that brought down Sepp Blatter, and the fact that the Trump dossier was initially commissioned by Republicans, lends weight to there being a degree of credibility to the report. Obviously, none of us know what that degree of credibility would or could be, so we can only speculate.

Let people ruminate on the credibility of the press, I'll be absolutely clear on the agencies I respect, being Reuters for news and Magnum for documentary photography.

Now...Trump can take a swipe at CNN every day of the week. I'd like to see him take on Reuters. This article doesn't contain any sensationalist crap, it's worth the read and worth thinking about.

This dossier story is not going away, look at the BBC today here
Quote:
A joint taskforce, which includes the CIA and the FBI, has been investigating allegations that the Russians may have sent money to Mr Trump's organisation or his election campaign.
Quote:
I got a message back that there was "more than one tape", "audio and video", on "more than one date", in "more than one place" - in the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow and also in St Petersburg - and that the material was "of a sexual nature".
The more Trump attacks the US intelligence agencies and the media then the more resources they will pour into finding compromising material on Trump.

The deployment was planned in July; long before Trump was considered a serious candidate.
The deployment has been accelerated and that could be Trump related.

Very profound insight. Except in 1 week, they will all be working for him.

That would actually be the FBI, which has strongly backed Trump during the elections. Hell, Comey got Trump elected.

You're quite right, of course. Trump won't be in ultimate control of the CIA, nor of any of the other intelligence agencies. Just the FBI -- which Trump has never criticized.

Now could you just give me an hour or so to collate hundreds of references to refute both those statements? Cheers.

All intelligence agencies exist in the service of the President. Unless they decide to try some kind of deep state government, but that's like tin foil hat stuff. Feel free to indulge.

I think there will be some purging of the intelligence agencies during Trump, if they don't oust Trump first.

Looks like they've already blown their wad with the watersport allegation. Americans polled say they wouldn't even care. If they don't have anything else, Trump has already extricated himself from their leash.

Trump won again.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Looks like the Photoshop guy had a bit of trouble with Trump's hair in that photo. Unsurprising, really.

When is he going to get the haircut he promised he'd have if he won? I recall him saying more than a year ago that he would be working so hard at being president that he wouldn't have time to do his hair every morning (apparently it takes him a good half hour or even more to fold and comb his oddly-hued locks).

EDIT: There you go. Admittedly it's the Daily Mail, but quite a few other news sources carried the story too.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

More on this topic, which is much more interesting than wondering whether Trump would be any good as President. He couldn't lose with 90% of the American public with this new hairstyle. More here.

Frankly, I find this bullshit of the US babysitting the world tiring. Next time it happens, I would like to get a clear value proposition: "What do we get for it in return?"
I actually agree with this. If the US "interferes", they are imperialistic d*ckheads, If the US does not "interfere", they are heartless d*ickheads. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

The USA, or any other country, does not have any responsibility, moral or otherwise, to be the policeman of the world.
