I had a mate who - when I referred to an information he had given me - used to say "I'm male. Search me what I said yesterday".

I thought that was amusing until Trump came on.

So now we know what provoked Tillerson to refer to the US president as an effing moron; at a lengthy meeting where Tillerson, along with the nations top military commanders tried to educate the president on world affairs the draft dodger directed the above quote at his military commanders (most of whom have seen combat). Just reflect on that, the draft dodger said that.

In all fairness, he didn't go to war with them.

How many generals and the like has Trump fired, driven to resign or involved in the prosecutions surrounding him.

Standard tactic, will be as long as his fans keep falling for it

Enough that people don't really care anymore when another one resigns.

Plus, with people being used to other people switching jobs, being fired or just getting golden parachutes all the time on a whim, people stopped caring completely a while ago....

Welcome to US politics 2020, where "crazy circus" is the new normal and no sane person would join without being able to carve out a significant amount of money from the cake in return for being part of the clown-show for a while.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

a word to our American brethren.

should you feel called to you can contact your senators at +1 202 224 3121 and demand they allow witnesses at the impeachment trial. or if you're a spanky fan you can phone up and demand no evidence whatsoever then take a moment to think 'wtf am I doing?'

Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA 🐐.
Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet.
Early stages of term also.
Incredible.
Congrats and Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day America 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇪

Maybe it's an oblique dig at the Presidents medical disqualification from the armed services?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

11 soldiers initially injured were evacuated from the base in Iraq after the Iran missile attack -- eight to Germany and three more to Kuwait. In addition, the Pentagon announced yesterday that an unspecified number of other troops had been injured in the attack and evacuated to Germany.

And what does the caring commander in chief say to his troops?
Quote:
Before leaving the internal gathering at Davos, Switzerland, on Wednesday, President Donald Trump held a hastily scheduled press conference.
In it, he was asked about the clear discrepancy between his initial claim that no Americans had been harmed in Iran's retaliatory strikes against a US base in Iraq and reports of 11 military personnel diagnosed with concussions and an unnamed number of others also being treated in the wake of the attack.

"No, I heard that they had headaches, and a couple of other things, but I would say, and I can report, it's not very serious," Trump said dismissively.

"I don't consider it very serious relative to other injuries that I've seen."

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Ahhhh, the heady smell of corruption!
Quote:
The attorney general for Washington, DC, filed a lawsuit on Wednesday alleging President Donald Trump's inaugural committee abused non-profit funds by overpaying for event space at the President's Washington hotel for events around his 2017 inauguration.

DC Attorney General Karl Racine filed the suit against the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee, the Trump Organization, and the Trump International Hotel in Washington in DC Superior Court.

The Inaugural committee's own event planner -- Stephanie Winston Wolkoff -- advised against the transaction, telling the committee and the Trump family that the charges were at least twice the market rate, reads the lawsuit.
Source

Difficult to prove but clearly dubious; a major buyer like the Inaugural committee should easily be able to negotiate preferential rates.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Quote:
Briefing by Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova, Moscow, November 30, 2016

It appears that keeping this US sponsorship is a big challenge for the Kiev authorities, who were uncivilised and rude towards President-elect Donald Trump when he was a presidential candidate. You probably remember that Ukrainian officials and diplomatic representatives abroad did not express their views or political assessments but openly insulted the person whom the American people elected their president.

I can continue to recite the Ukrainian authorities’ attacks on this particular presidential candidate, but the list is too long.

Ukraine seriously complicated the work of Trump’s election campaign headquarters by planting information according to which Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign chairman, allegedly accepted money from Ukrainian oligarchs.
Source

Seems the genius swallowed this story which started here and was later spread and embroidered by Russia despite all the US intelligence agencies saying it was Russia interfering in the 2016 election.

Karma that this belief played a pivotal role in Trump being impeached.

His non-impeachment will simply be one more example of how the "super rich" and " famous " can murder and get away with it! But thats very much the way of the US and the majority of countries.

What non-impeachment?

He has been impeached, whether he is removed from office or not is irrelevant to that fact.
