Your ability to interpret that from what he said impresses me.

I wouldn't play his game, if I were you. He wants people to be glued to his tweets and overinterpret them. And what do people do? Exactly that.

I bet his supporters don't read his Tweet feed. He isn't tweeting for them. But for his loyal opposition.
I bet they do, because for many of them he's a hero who always speaks up his mind - a right they think they don't have anymore, at least not in the shape or form they see fit. (cough cough)

Either way, whether he's a stable genius in this Tweet feed affair or not, regardless of his motivation, this is wrong on so many levels....

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu set up Sunday vote, which if approved would have endorsed the annexation of about 30 percent of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley, shortly after President Trump rolled out his Middle East peace plan on Tuesday.

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin told Israel Radio that the vote was not yet possible due to necessary preparations; no new vote date announced.

Trump's plan proposed steeper cuts into Palestinian territory than most other peace plans offered in the past, sparking a swift rejection from Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas.

Edit: Or among the boomers...

Again, over-interpretation. But I like your enthusiasm. Let's get back to Trump and his obvious strategies.

(Unfortunately, I am not easily impressed.)

Trump on John Bolton

Quote:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

For a guy who couldn’t get approved for the Ambassador to the U.N. years ago, couldn’t get approved for anything since, “begged” me for a non Senate approved job, which I gave him despite many saying “Don’t do it, sir,” takes the job, mistakenly says “Libyan Model” on T.V., and many more mistakes of judgement, gets fired because frankly, if I listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now, and goes out and IMMEDIATELY writes a nasty & untrue book.

All Classified National Security. Who would do this?
1:28 PM · Jan 29, 2020·T
Almost in the Guinness Book of records for the longest sentence!

Trump admits he is an idiot for appointing an incompetent to one of the top jobs in the nation (National Security Advisor of the United States)!

Bolton was the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from August 2005 to December 2006.

Spanky is claiming to know the contents of Bolton's manuscript (a nasty & untrue book!) although it is supposed to be safely locked up in the National Security records management office.

Anyway seems the White House believes the book is true "White House has issued a formal threat to John Bolton to keep him from publishing his book"

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

LOL!!

Newly installed panels from the US border wall fell over in high winds Wednesday, landing on trees on the Mexican side of the border.
Name: WindWall.jpg
Views: 175
Size: 37.0 KB

The winds were only ca. 35 mph so it will be interesting to see the effect if and when they get really strong winds. The basic problem is Trump wants to build the walls so high that as a result when it is windy one gets tremendous leverage on the foundations. So for a 10m wall, you need foundations that are at least 3 to 4m deep.

The Customs and Border Patrol claim the panels were so recent that the concrete had not yet cured.
This wall is in Calexico, California and was ordered by Obama to replace an existing wall. Trump claimed it was completed in October 2018, then announced in June 2019 that the wall was being replaced with new reinforced panels so it is possible the new panels are still being installed. The panels themselves seem to be damaged in the photo?

oh look, the 'lets move on' defence. Your concession is noted.

So, as I'm understanding it the Dershowitz defence is that the president can apply political leverage to achieve an outcome in the public good, eg 'you can get aid if you stop destroying the Amazon' but in this case trump *was* acting for the public good because his reelection is in the public interest.

Wow, any Spanky fans want to defend that??

In other words, he's following the usual and well documented Trump business negotiating script of initially demanding the preposterous ...

Yeah, it's patentably insane. Let's extend this logic, shall we?
Trump's legal argument: Any act to help the POTUS win reelection is, by definition, in the public interest and therefore POTUS cannot be impeached for it.

> Stealing from an opposing campaign (Watergate), is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Lying about a blow job in the oval office from an employee (Clinton), is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Secretly selling arms to fund mass murders (Reagan's Iran contra), is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Profiting from US taxpayers to pay yourself and your family (Trump) is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Offering government favors to foreign governments to investigate personal political opponents (Trump) is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Arresting political opponents (Putin, Erdogan, Xi) is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> Nuking Los Angeles is in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.

> [Insert anything you f'n want that] is in POTUS's personal interest therefore in the public interest and not an impeachable offense.
