Now that there is no impeachment, would they focus on what Biden has been doing in Ukraine?
and focus on where Obama was born and what happened to that server eh?

<facepalm>

really does anyone need to know more than trump said it to know it's just more lies? I'm continually amazed there are still people falling for this stuff.

Have you ever watched these fools behind him when he goes on one of his " pep talk" rallies. Should explain it

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

You know if trials had not allowed new witnesses or evidence then Perry Mason would not have survived beyond the first episode!

New today
Quote:
the Office of Management and Budget court filing Friday reveals Trump involved in discussions on Ukraine aid as early as June.

A lawyer with the Office of Management and Budget wrote to the court that 24 emails between June and September 2019 -- including an internal discussion among DOD officials called "POTUS follow-up" on June 24 -- should stay confidential because the emails describe "communications by either the President, the Vice President, or the President's immediate advisors regarding Presidential decision-making about the scope, duration, and purpose of the hold on military assistance to Ukraine."

Almost every day more information leaks out about this corrupt business.

Perry Mason was a famous U.S. TV show, in which the lead prosecutor (Mason) usually managed to prove his case or even get a confession by using surprise witnesses.

edit - In this case, NO witnesses at all. Thus why Mason would have been out of business.

Sorry, I did not phrase this well.

I meant the Senate trial did not allow new witnesses or evidence; if the usual trials in Court had followed the same rules then Perry Mason would be out of a job.

Amazing, just to stop accepting witnesses and evidence, then acquit the defendant for want of evidence.
Only the US pulls such a stunt and on teli and without batting an eyelid.

You are clearly oblivious as to what impeachment is, nor how it works.

Feel free to show me where the Senate called witnesses to testify, Tom. And Trump was impeached. But he won't be removed from office.

While I originally thought the Senate should have had witnesses, I read about and agree with Murkowski's decision not to agree to them. It would have dragged out a process that was warped from the beginning (ugh, don't get me started on Pelosi) and not have changed anyone's mind. There was no way 67 senators were going to vote for removal.

They don't need to. it's optional.

Of course it is, even in a "regular" courtroom trial. However, it's pretty common in regular trials to call witnesses both for and against the defendant so the jurors can make an informed decision and each side can plead its case.

In this situation, the Senate didn't call witnesses for either side and the outcome was clear from the start. Massive waste of taxpayer money.

Blame the Democrats who caused the impeachment, they also knew that they had no chance and just wanted Brownie Points.

Ironically, they have just guaranteed his re-election.

Surely we should not blame Trump who both crossed a red line and refused to cooperate with Congress.
Dems simply reacted to an impossible situation.
It just depends now on how the voters view and react to this "cover-up".

BTW, so far nothing reported about this rejection in the US papers
Until now the only major US news outlet to report this Arab League unanimous decision is Axios.
So much for Trump's claims that the US #fakenews takes every opportunity to attack him

It is also claimed CIA Director Haspel paid a secret visit to the Middle East one day after Pres. Trump presented the "deal of the century" peace plan, for what nobody knows.
