Does age matter? I look at Biden and he just seems too old to run whereas Trump's inexhaustable energy of self-confidence is almost (and I said almost) commendable.

Biden has a life-long stuttering issue which, for the most part, he's done amazingly well to cover up. To which incoherent ramblings do you refer, and how do they stack up against the average Trump statement?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Late night tweet from Trump:

"Pocahontas, working in conjunction with the Democrat Party, totally destroyed the campaign of Bernie Sanders. If she would have quit 3 days earlier, Sanders would have beaten Biden in a route, it wouldn’t even have been close. They also got two other losers to support Sleepy Joe!"
  1. Continued blatant racism
  2. Unfounded accusations
  3. Baseless conjecture
  4. Juvenile epithets
  5. Grammatical errors
  6. Primary school-level spelling mistake

The gift that keeps on giving. What's not to love about a Trump tweet?

How is calling somebody Pocahontas blatantly racist?

She derived direct benefits from claiming that she's part native American. 1024th part Native American.

I guess my Swiss-blood-what ever would be easy to prove as well. Still don't want to be called Heidi.

No, according to politically correct standards it's not because Heidi is blonde.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Is Biden really losing it or is that just another ZeroHedge exaggeration slash conspiracy theory? Are all those brain-failures on camera just misrepresentations?

(The current theme is that he'll choose Kamala (or even Michelle) as running mate and he'll resign mid-term due to dementia, thus the US finally getting their first female president).

Labelling a naive American (whether they actually are is another question) "Pocahontas" is akin to calling an African American "boy", or a Chinese "Chinky". They're all racist epithets for three different races.

I don't see it that way. Pocahontas has no racist connotation whatsoever. I've been to numerous Pow Wows, visited a Rez and even dated a native American and in my humble experience, it is simply a juvenile reference to the Disney movie, nothing more, nothing less.

It's whatever you think it is.

I actually had to look up the historic person of Pocahontas (didn't really know she existed).

It's a matter of degrees and context.
For context - I'm a Brit. I have Irish nationality as well but we can ignore that for the sake of this discussion. I sound southern English when I speak.

If I call an Australian "Bruce" in a political context, is it racist? What if they call me "Pom"?
How about calling an Irishman "Paddy"? A Welshman "Taff"?
How about calling someone from the Middle-East a typical name from that area?

To do any of these things in a political (or professional) context would be undignified at best, racist at worst. If the object comes from a country or ethnic group that has been discriminated against then I'd argue it swings towards the racist end of the scale. Knowing Trump it was calculated to get up noses, so intent has to be taken into account as well.

I personally would not have called it (Pocahontas) racist (therefore Heidi neither). But it is bloody patronizing.
