Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

And they said Hillary was a liar......

Note: Due to an unpredecented rush, it's become nearly impossible to book a Trump pre-Nov 8 lobotomy appointment.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

So Trump has never met Putin, and has no relationship with him (therefore, according to Sbrinz's post above, no redeeming qualities at all) --

or --

Trump is a liar, adding to the list of unredeeming qualities he possesses.

You choose.

Now that you understand the basics of why people cry, how does it affect you, exactly if someone else does it?
Well I mostly laugh. Mostly.

I think the ramifications of one are slightly greater than the other, Loz.
Indeed, soccer riots are much more of a problem!

Nice.

Both sides seem to enjoy picking up on each others more "dramatic" reactions and using that as a "look how rational we are compared to them" cheap shot but in reality most people don't react with such drama.

Unfortunately, the media doesn't sell copy based on the "meh" type reactions from 95% of the rest of the population.

Everybody loves a bit of drama to validate their own opinions, don't they?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The OH told me there was a nice piece on German radio this morning.

They were saying that after a Brexit, a Trump victory, and the rise to power of far right parties in the Netherlands, France and Austria now all foregone conclusions (yeah, they actually said that), and the fools and populsits already controlling most of eastern and southern Europe, that Germany must brace itself to be the only democratic country still standing on the continent. This is why it needs strong leadership and this is why Merkel needs to stay.

Interesting how the criss that she was so instrumental in creating may well be the reason people turn to her for comfort.

Not really, I'd have exactly the same reaction to this guy.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

CNN is currently carrying images of a riot in Portland. Kids smashing stuff and aiming fireworks at policeofficers.

Trump released a vain and pointless tweet. As far as I can tell, Clinton has said nothing, neither has Obama.

The police PR officer seems to be the only balanced voice.

But basically you are actively seeking out and feeding off other people's dramatic reactions, right?

That was my point.

It's a cult. That reality distortion bubble they live under is easily popped.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

It's such a shame to see people not accepting it and crying over spilled milk.

On the other hand, outside of the US a bit more positive vibes prevail.

Some news outlet posted ads on Craigslist to come to a demonstration to get on TV.

There is a lot of positivity in the US about it, you are just not seeing it on the news.

The posted vid is fake anyway.

Amazing that people have the time/energy/inclination to watch/get trolled by/repost such drivel. Thanks Loz.

I just wonder how long it will take before those pistol toting yeehaw cowboys realize that they were sold a bunch of lies, while their illustrious leader elect is off in St Andrews playing a few rounds of golf and grabbing poor wee Scots lasses pussies.

Like Brexit they'll regret it soon enough. Thankfully Tronald Dump prefers money to war, so I hope we are safe from itchy red button fingers

Of course. On Craigslist, "This posting has been deleted by its author.". How do I upload a screenshot here?

What keywords did you search on, and how do you know it was posted by the media?
