Surprisingly, the Democrats have managed to find an even worse candidate this time.

Hillary won the popular vote so her failing was not popularity; her problem was her failed strategy to get sufficient Electoral College votes.
Winning California by four million votes is meaningless when she lost States like Nebraska by 6,000 votes or Michigan by 10,000 votes or Wisconsin by 20,000 or Arizona by 60,000.

Yes and no. I have many, many friends who voted Trump not because they liked him but because they felt they could not trust Hillary and would never vote for her in a million years.

No-one can knock Trump's entertainment value though.
This week he's been on a roll.

He has done everything, everything, in his power, to not get re-elected.
Let's see how it plays out.
But his supporters love him still......

To an almost neurotic level. I've seen people who really liked and supported a candidate before, but Trump fans are a whole different kettle of fish.

I think I would have done last time, despite everything (because i'm conservative, not because I like the man!). This time, I don't think I could manage it.

Its one thing speaking offensive rubbish when you are a candidate. It's another thing to continue doing so when you are the most powerful person on earth. He's so deficient for the job it's almost a joke. Not only that, he's a bully, and I can't stand that in people.

It still blows my mind that anyone could think Hilary wasn't the "lesser of two evils."

I think Trump exploits people's ignorance and also that ignorant people don't easily recognize the ignorance of others. It's frightening how gullible and easily manipulated some people are (for example, why people give their entire life's saving to Scientology or worship cult leaders). I also remember reading psych articles before about why (some) people are drawn to narcissists and authoritarian leaders.
There has also been a lot of hatred brewing between the left and the right in the US, particularly in the past 20 or so years, and Trump has exploited that as well (and most certainly worsened it)... Demonize the other side, play the victim, and meanwhile his support base just eats it up. If there is one thing that Trump IS good at, it's manipulation. And I think his followers are completely blind to the ways he and Fox News, etc. are manipulating them, in part because they're too fueled by their irrational and delusional rage against the left to even see or think clearly.

He's obsessed with smelling women's hair and he's now facing sexual assault allegations.

You mean totally unlike Trump who has even admitted to it on tape in some cases and has been accused by many others.

But there is a difference between "facing sexual assault allegations" and actually having sexually assaulted someone.

The woman who is accusing Biden of that first said that Biden had "touched her shoulders and neck and made her feel uncomfortable." Now, a year later, she has drastically changed her story to him having "pinned her to a wall in a Senate building, reached under her clothing and penetrated her with his fingers." It makes no sense to me why she has changed her story. If you're going to come forth and accuse someone of sexual misconduct in the first place, why downplay the situation and then a year later change it to something completely different and much more drastic? A man simply putting his hands on a woman's shoulder is not sexual misconduct in the first place, but she clearly tried to paint it as being that (as did the right-wing media). When that didn't work and Biden didn't lose support, she decided to change her story to something completely different.

Never said that. Just wondering why you see that as a negative against Biden when completely unproven (and highly questionable if you read Pancakes' post) but remain a total Trump fanboi.
