Actually, most psychopaths are not too bright. Many have acquired the necessary emotional intelligence to manipulate people from early childhood abuse, which sort of served as a catalyst for their abnormal behavior and fantasies.

You're right. I remember reading before that psychopaths tend to have high IQs but apparently most do not have above-average intelligence.

If I saw two oposing camps, one's presenting a plan for improving things and the other just shooting their opponents down, I think I know what camp I'd root for. Negative campaign has never worked.

Trump presented what seemed like a decent plan for starting to open things up yesterday. Today he followed it up with tweets encouraging his followers to totally disregard his plan and start civil disobedience (or worse) in 3 states with democratic governors. He even used the word "liberate" and brought up the 2nd Amendment, as if coronavirus has anything to do with gun rights?? No. Just NO. I will not root for that kind of camp.

I don't think I'd even consider tweets to be part of any campaign. Saying why not rooting for a camp is again negative. Why root for Trump's opponents - this is what I would find interesting.

They are, though. Social media played a big role in the last election. Trump's campaign (the first one) was largely based on trying to demonize Hillary Clinton. "Drain the swamp" etc. Fake news articles and memes were intentionally created and spread all over Facebook as part of the Cambridge Analytica scandal to swing undecided voters to vote for Trump instead of Clinton. FB profiles were being monitored to look for signs of indecisiveness (regarding who someone was going to vote for) and then those profiles were targeted with anti-Hilary articles, etc. There is a good documentary about that titled "The Great Hack." Social media is often used to manipulate elections now, across the world.
