Wouldn't it be funny if he offed himself by taking a drug that has no benefit against corona. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-52717161 | This user would like to thank Medea Fleecestealer for this useful post:

And its also said that he wants to put it in all the water supplies of USA ( Reuters )

Trump responded with a tweet storm attacking Cavuto and Fox News and encouraging people to take this drug.
The extraordinary spectacle of the US President encouraging his supporters to take a dangerous and unproven drug. As a reminder the French study of this drug that Trump quotes to support actually failed to mention that one person died and three were transferred to intensive care. Four out of the twenty studied is a pretty high number. | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | Fox News Channel's senior managing editor for health news, Dr. Manny Alvarez, said late Monday that President Trump is acting "highly irresponsible" for taking hydroxychloroquine as a preventive measure against contracting the coronavirus, adding that he would like "to hear from the White House physician" on the matter.
White House physician Sean Conley said in a Monday night statement that the "potential benefit outweighed the relative risks" in prescribing the drug for the president. | | | | | Source

Trump lies are really getting tiresome | Quote: | | | | In a letter Monday to the director-general of WHO, Trump said that his administration's review of WHO's response to the outbreak found that the organization ignored "credible reports of the virus spreading in Wuhan in early December 2019 or even earlier, including reports from the Lancet medical journal."
The Lancet, however, said today "this statement is factually incorrect" and that it "published no report in December, 2019, referring to a virus or outbreak in Wuhan or anywhere else in China."
The Lancet said it first published reports on January 24, 2020.
The Lancet noted that the lead scientists and physicians on the study were from Chinese institutions and "worked with us to quickly make information about this new epidemic outbreak and the disease it caused fully and freely available to an international audience." | | | | | Source
This false claim is the first point in Trump's letter, which rather spoils the tone of the whole thing.

Are we actually sure that the doctors didn't give him an extra strong, placebo-homeopathic version of the medicine?

I can't believe the doctor would say the benefits outweigh the risks. Maybe for Trump specifically (I doubt it).
Such a blanket statement is irresponsible imo, and likely to lead to thousands of people asking their doctors for an unnecessary prescription as well. | This user would like to thank 3Wishes for this useful post:

"In consultation with our inter-agency partners and subject matter experts around the country, I continue to monitor the myriad studies investigating potential COVID-19 therapies, and I anticipate employing the same shared medical decision making based on the evidence at hand in the future," Conley wrote. | | | | | Source
Of course, Trump's cult members will swallow the drug especially as Trump is taking it as a "preventative".

Apparently he was first contacted by a Community physician in upstate NY, who’s been giving it to his patients, and the physician himself takes it as prophylaxis. The physician has since contacted other members of Trump’s staff.
Trump seems rather impressionable. https://forward.com/news/national/44...ate=05/19/2020 | This user would like to thank ennui for this useful post:

These traits can go together - it sounds like the average anti-vaxer or flat-world conspirator.

So many internet experts everywhere and only one president.
We should open other threads on other statesmen. It will be a hit, too.
