Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I read in the news that, during the rally, Trump referred to the coronavirus as the "Kung Flu." I guess he doesn't realize how racist that comes across.

In photos from the rally, I also noticed a lot of people wearing t-shirts, etc. with the slogan "Trump 2020. Make liberals cry again."

I found that very telling. He, and his accomplices are really out of touch.

So whens the next rally? I need a couple, of dozen, tickets That I cannot possibly use.
Indeed, very telling.
The bottom line is that in the middle of a very red state only around six thousand people bothered to turn up.
To put it in some sort of context in the last election 141,589 Tulsa people voted for Trump, almost a million in Oklahoma.

The disdain for liberal democracy is quite telling.... Trump despises China but I bet he would love its way of leadership to be adopted in the USA... Apparently a sizeable part of his supporters too...(out of naivety? ignorance? who could tell)

If it happened somewhere else maybe it would have been like "move along, nothing to see here"....

Guess who was only 24 hours from Tulsa and Trumps Rally !!

Indy 100 News - Look who was only 24 hours away from Tulsa !!

Suddenly the UK's two weeks quarantine for returning British tourists makes sense. Send him to Coventry !!

Of course. Preaching water, guzzling wine, what else is new.

I'm sure the private jet will bring him back sans quarantine. Didn't the US close the borders to non-nationals (because the virus obviously recognizes that you're American and not British)?

Really impressed with the (wannabe) "leaders" of our time...

You have to give Trump credit: most leaders are disappointing, where Trump meets all expectations, often even exceeding them.

DHS officials have exempt Farage from the US travel ban under the "national interest" clause.

That is true.

And we now also learned that being able to drink a glass of water like a normal person is totally a reason for all of 6200 people in the "overflowing arena" to cheer and wave their flags.

The bar REALLY has been set at a whole new level of low.

I don't know anymore whether to cry or laugh at all this. And given how dishevelled and pathetic he looked after this "rally", I would almost feel sorry for him. Almost.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

So now Arizona has the fastest growing number of new coronavirus cases in US; with 3,700 new cases yesterday versus a daily maximum 370 cases before the lockdown was stopped.

So the caring President organises a rally yesterday in Phoenix, Arizona packing a church with 3,000 young people - no masks or social distancing.

Source video, shows inside church after 7 seconds.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump is a public health disaster.
Quote:
Dozens of Secret Service agents will be quarantined as a precaution following President Donald Trump's rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The steps come after two Secret Service agents who attended the rally tested positive for coronavirus.
Trump campaign had announced that some advance team staffers who worked on the event had tested positive for the virus.

new york city appears set to receive a "black lives matter" street mural outside trump tower in midtown manhattan, according to a statement from mayor bill de blasio's (d) office.

The mural will be painted along fifth avenue between 56th and 57th streets in front of president trump's notable manhattan building sometime before july 4.

It will be painted six times more throughout the city's five boroughs.

Statues are not lives.
Why is it more important to save racists icons than to protect the lives of American citizens?

Anyway, he cannot create new laws by EO.
There are existing laws that outlaw destruction and damage of private and government property. His order simply tells people to apply existing laws. How effective that will be is unknown.
