Kanye?

The self-proclaimed "greatest living rockstar on the planet" who can't even hit the pitch?

I bet after this performance Kanye wished he'd never been born (the debacle starts ~55sec into the clip).
Thank you, that seriously made my day!

Painful. I can see why he got the audience to sing much of it.

Given the dearth of electable alternatives, I wouldn't bet on that, though Kanye West has thrown his hat into the ring.

And people complain about Melanija as FLOTUS, just immagine Kim Carcrashian as FLOTUS!

Tom
People shouldn't freak out too much about Kanye as a candidate, although it's kind of fun to ponder. He'd have to run as an independent or write-in at this stage, as it's too late for him to get enough votes from either party at their respective conventions (based on the primaries already held).

Also the rules for presidential ballot access vary from state to state. If a candidate doesn't have a well-organized team, meeting all of those requirements is not easy, particularly obtaining enough valid signatures.

The deadline to file as an independent has already passed in 5 states (IN, ME, NC, NY and TX). Combined those states account for 91 Electoral College votes that Kanye simply would not be eligible to receive. A few other states have deadlines coming up by the end of this month (FL, MI, MO, OK, SC, WV). These states combine for an additional 75 EC votes.

By the way, this little detail would also affect any unity ticket that wanted to try and pop up now. If you're automatically ineligible to receive 30% of the EC votes out of the gate, good luck!

Even as a write-in, Kanye would have to meet certain filing requirements. Nine states don't even allow write-ins for president (AR, HI, LA, MS, NV, NM, OK, SC, SD) and those 9 account for 53 EC votes (nearly 10%).

In other words, he might be a fun distraction for the media and for people who don't know how presidential elections work, but he's not a serious candidate, at least this time around.

We can live in hope that half of Trump's brainiac base will write Kanye in anyway, permitted or not, registered or unregistered... Kanye's a fan of Trump, so they'd be doing their hero 45 a favour, right?!??!

Signing orders to move forward with the construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines in the Oval Office.
Now three and a half years later Judge James E. Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, has ruled the Dakota Access pipeline must be shut down due to violation of environmental laws during construction.
Trump's executive orders are not superior to the law.

And now.

The Supreme Court on Monday cleared the way for several pipeline projects to proceed under a fast-track permitting process but excluded the controversial Keystone XL expansion from their ruling, forcing major delays.
So both pipelines in trouble.

Rats leaving the sinking ship
Quote:
Kanye West, who has been a supporter of President Trump, said in a new interview that he is “taking the red hat off” with his own bid for the White House.

“It looks like one big mess to me,” he said, adding that “I don’t like that I caught wind that he hid in the bunker.”

BTW, from Johns Hopkins University
Yesterday, the US reported 60,021 new confirmed cases and 1,195 deaths.
