You probably don't realise it yet, but you guys will miss him.
I will miss him in the same way I've missed every single US President that's come before him i.e. not at all.

History however will remember him for this:

You're right, he should be wearing headphones for the NSA, and there should also be some gravestones for the drone strikes he ordered.

Will Obama have left such an open and congenial letter for Trump?
Absolutely he will. Obama is definitely a class act whether you agree with his policy thinking or not. Whether he matches that absolutely great level of class from GHWB is another matter... very cool letter, really enjoyed that.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

And if Trump absolutely sucks, well then, there are checks and balances, if they are used appropriately. Still, it's going to be ..... interesting.

I have a hard time listening to him talk and wave his fingers. He sort of reminds me of Reagan with creepiness level.

I am less enthused about running the country like a business - my problem with that is, that in addition to shareholders and employees, you also have constituents. They're not big enough to count unless taken en masse and neither can you really fire them - I guess you can stick them in private prisons though....

Edited to add, from PBS

By the way, are you American or have any connection with the US?

Do you mean to say that ONLY Americans are allowed to express opinions on American matters?

Of course not. Just trying to understand edot's perspective.

And it's pretty obtuse to think a Trump presidency will not affect the rest of the world in some way.

I do see edot is American.

But I'm glad non-Americans can't vote.

Good point. What she actually said, when asked if she were happy that "My Way" would be used, was "Just remember the first line of the song".

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Looking at the aerial shots, there's nobody there compared to previous inaugurations. Weird.
