That was the beauty of Trump's game of chicken: Neither Kim nor the Mullahs in Iran could ever be so sure that he wouldn't press "the button".
Mostly, he was all words and no action - but killing Soleimani was a strong message that nobody should be too sure of that.

And after all, Soleimani wasn't that popular anyway - and they literally shot themselves in the foot by taking down that passenger plane.

Doubtlessly though, Iran will never forget this.

We will see how Biden fares.
Granted, it's not the easiest legacy. But at least, he doesn't inherit any new wars. Those he inherits, he can blame directly on Obama.

I'm very pessimistic. Biden is too weak and probably too confused.
Watch the rise of the whisperers and "interpreters" who translate his increasingly confused ramblings.
Likely, Harris will end up sholdering most of the day-to-day duties in a short time. Being President is an awfully demanding job.
Nothing you wish for a 70-something slowly sliding into dementia.
Worked for Trump, nobody could ever be so sure that he wouldn't press "the button" especially his own State Department and Military.

He didn't nuke any country and we are all still alive. That makes him better than expected
The guy with the little suitcase is still following him around, no? And Trump is in a very bad mood.
It ain't over 'til it's over.

Which leads to my question: What's the exact date this thread will be closed?

They can do that. But at the end of the day, they need people who open the app.

People won't do (or that often) that if it's a boring SJW/BLM/whatever echo-chamber there, with only "good" people posting about their gender-equality achievements every other hour.

There's only so many meme-reposts one can stomach ...

You could very well argue that Trump himself has kept Twitter alive and relevant in the last four years. They might already have gone under if he had not become President (and his voice that relevant).
Twitter has been heavily used since 2013 -- long before Trump became President. It's not like Trump is the center of the universe and social media revolves around him or couldn't exist without him (despite what he might think).

Also, I think that if Twitter was really that concerned about keeping Trump and his supporters, then they would be less prone to censoring and/or removing his posts as they so often do. I don't really use Twitter myself, though. I think it's a waste of time, and the EF is already more than I can handle in terms of humans bickering back and forth.

It's the classic "Can't live with him, can't live without him".

We will see.

I rarely open the app these days either. It's main use (for me) is for checking after internet-outages and maybe escalating support-tickets.

If you think they'll thrive and it's really Trump that is holding them back - buy the stocks (or options)

Hey, is Twitter where his fans live? Or is it FB? I always wondered where from do they get all their ideas.

I have noticed that even on EF there are a few people who can go into fire for Trump, it seems their whole universe revolves around him. Maybe the next candidate will be a Trump or someone related to him - Ivanka, her husband?

You think Trump was bad?

President Donald Trump will lose Twitter privileges he enjoys as a world leader when President-Elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20th, 2021.
Twitter confirmed that Trump’s @realDonaldTrump account will be subject to the same rules as any other user — including bans on inciting violence and posting false information about voting or the coronavirus pandemic.

Twitter applies special policies to world leaders and some other officials, leaving rule-breaking content online if there’s “a clear public interest value to keeping the tweet on the service.”
The public interest policy was formalized in 2019, codifying a rule that had been informally enforced for some time.

Nevertheless we can look forward to Trump tweeting for years to come

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) is backing President Trump's “efforts to identify voter fraud” by offering up to $1 million dollars from his campaign for anyone to come forward with evidence from anywhere in the country.

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov John Fetterman (D) responded to Patrick's move on Twitter.

Quote:
“Hey, Governor Patrick- it’s your counterpart in Pennsylvania.
I’d like to collect your handsome reward for reporting voter fraud,” Fetterman said.
“I got a dude in Forty Fort, PA who tried to have his dead mom vote for Trump.
I’d like mine in Sheetz gift cards pls.”

“ps. The Cowboys blow.”

So in other words... He's offering $1 million dollars to the person that can invent the best evidence.

650.000 votes is not that close.

Republicans are usually good with (their own) money, so I think he calculated that this one million dollars is safe. The question on whether this is legal is interesting.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Brian Jack, White House political director has tested positive for the coronavirus after attending the election night celebration held at the White House.

Another super spreader event

Edit: Healy Baumgardner, a former Trump campaign aide who was at the election party, tested positive for COVID-19 today.
Others surrounding Trump who have tested positive since the election night gathering, during which many did not wear masks, include Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows and Housing Secretary Ben Carson.
