Hate to be a pedant, but Air Force One is a call-sign, not a specific aircraft.

He could be on the wright flyer and it would be Air Force 1.

...BTW, soon to be ex-Senate leader McConnell yesterday circulated the procedure for fast impeachment
That doesn't mean he's promoting it. He's informing his caucus so they know what to expect and potentially sending a coded signal as to how to act. Makes perfect sense to me.

Quote:
...NBC News obtained a memo Friday evening, which was circulated to Senate Republicans by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., that lays out a timeline for a potential impeachment trial.

The memo says that without a unanimous consent agreement from all 100 senators to bring the chamber back in session in the next 10 days, the soonest it could receive articles of impeachment from the House would be on January 19th — the eve of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

@TwitterSafety

After close review of recent Tweets from the
@realDonaldTrump
account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.

In the context of horrific events this week, we made it clear on Wednesday that additional violations of the Twitter Rules would potentially result in this very course of action.
Well, if Mr. Trump can't use Twitter, what's to stop him using TikTok instead ?

Shall we start a petition banning him from ever coming to Switzerland?
Oh I don't know, we need tourists and their money.

I am sure Zürich Langstrasse would welcome him with open arms.

It gives a bit a mixed signal if you welcome Lenin but ban Trump.

Not a mixed signal at all. Just shows that the Swiss know a dangerous man when they see one.

He is a dangerous man until 20 January. Afterwards, he is just a powerless fool.

We can hope. He derives his sense of power from his supporters, and I expect him to do everything possible to try to maintain his support base for a very long time, because for one thing, he is clearly addicted to the sense of validation and the "high" he gets from them stroking his ego. He'll probably still be holding rallies and charging admission for them.

The way he ended his last taped speech, I think he was hinting that he plans to run in 2024.

Ha ha!

-------

So I just saw this -- a statement from Trump regarding his Twitter ban:

Name:  trump twitter crybaby.jpg
Views: 177
Size:  91.6 KB

Source: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/twit..._headlines_hed

This is yet another perfect example of the way he psychologically projects. He's been using Twitter himself, daily and for years as a manipulation device, to maintain his support base and to blame anyone and everything that he can, but now he's saying that Twitter is a platform where "the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely." He'd still be using Twitter right now if he hadn't been banned. [insert face palm]

I can't really see Trump listening to what his ex-wife has to say about it.

I think she'll end up divorcing him anyways -- and especially once he sinks further into debt because he can't pay the hundreds of millions in loans that are coming due soon.

Ah, but he just got all those donations in! They are purportedly to fund his court cases, but if I've understood it correctly, those moneys can be used by him, personally.

That is essentially correct. Most of the money flows to a super PAC (political action committee) which has broad leeway in how to spend the money. The fine print even says money doesn't go to court cases but instead to his super PAC and the RNC until it reaches a certain amount.

Yep. He's a scam artist. He probably concocted the whole "election fraud" thing just as means to get people to donate to him, so he can use that money to pay back the loans. You can't put it past him. He's already been caught using charity funds for his personal gains.

https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2019...ump-foundation

It all reminds me so much of that interview he did with Rona Barrett in 1980 where she asked him, "What would you do if you ever lost your fortune?" And his answer was: "I don't know... Maybe run for President."

I think this is the main reason that they want to go through with impeachment even though his term is nearly over.... to prevent another one.
