Lets look at that, the temperature differences between 2 of the readings was 0.02 deg with and the others could still line up given the margin of error. But none of them contradict current climate science. So much so, that I wondered why Marton posted it, like his previous post on the subject, it offered no new information, but it obviously is of some significance to him.

Now I get why you do that, by playing little word games and pointing marginal errors, you can say, what's 0.02 difference, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05 , 10, 20, 100, 1000000 and so on, but it really isnt at all comparable.

Edit: So lets carry on with you, you now throw TV viewership is as a possible alternate fact, try looking it up....
well the fact remains that they used different methods to arrive at their estimates. colloquially we call those facts but are they really in a deeper sense? anyway.

whether their margins are really small or relatively massive i cannot judge because i am not a climatologist.

try looking what up? i know spicer was talking about viewership when he said the audience was big yuge. conway called that an alternative fact to the crowd size in dc. the dumb newsreader started crowing instead of listening and now i have to explain this shit here.

The point of my post was that the UK did not adjust their data to follow the recent NOAA revelation on ocean temperatures.

The claim was a record number, but all figures that you can find, TV viewership, metro rides, photographic evidence, say otherwise and not by some small margin. There was every opportunity to just claim it was hyperbole, but instead they tried to double down, the highest office of the united states tried to double down on an obviously false claim.

Either way, Trump had a long way to go to beat Jean-Michel Jarre and...Rod Stewart!!!

so excuse the source of the video here, i find the msm sources cut out pieces too much ()

https://twitter.com/PrisonPlanet/sta...76813939503106

frankly i am not interested enough to look up all the stats mentioned. it seems reasonable that in 2017 you get a worldwide audience through internet and thus a bigger audience than ever before. even 2009.

whether that is an unfair comparison ill leave in the middle.

If your top result for what your searching for is prison planet and can't find it anywhere else, that says a lot.

Yeah but see it's much easier for him to decide that he doesn't like the 'vessel' which distributed said information so then he can choose to ignore it all together.

Otherwise he might have to actually, heaven forbid, argue his point!

Just seen this story...
Quote:
Fox Host Says Kellyanne Conway Punched Someone at Inauguration Ball
“Whole thing lasted a few mins no one was hurt except maybe the dude she smacked,” Charles Gasparino writes
http://www.thewrap.com/fox-host-says...guration-ball/

Please tell me there's footage of this somewhere! I mean, Spicer says there's all these mobile devices and such and this would be a comedy moment.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

And a transcript,

I've gone to the main point:
Quote:
QUESTION: Is it your intention to always tell the truth from that podium, and will you pledge never to knowingly something that is not factual?
SPICER: It is. It's an honor to do this, and yes. I believe that we have to be honest with the American people. I think sometimes we can disagree with the facts. There are certain things that we may not fully understand when we come out. But our intention's never to lie to you, Jonathan. Our job is to make sure that sometimes -- and you're in the same boat -- there are times when you guys tweet something out or write a story, and you publish a correction. That doesn't mean that you were trying to deceive readers and the American people, does it? And I think we should be afforded the same opportunity. There are times when we believe something to be true, or we get something from an agency, or we act in haste because the information available wasn't complete, but our desire to communicate with the American people and make sure that you have the most complete story at the time. And so we do it.
But again, I think that when you look net-net, we're going (ph) to do our best every time we can. I'm going to come out here and tell you the facts as I know them. And if we make a mistake, we'll do our best to correct it. But I don't -- I think that as I mentioned the other day, it is a two-way street. There are many mistakes that the media makes all the time. They misreport something, they don't report something, they get a fact wrong. I don't think that's always -- you know, to turn around and say, okay, "You were intentionally lying". I think we all try to do our best job, and do it with a degree of integrity in our respective industries.
QUESTION: Do you have any corrections that you would like to make, or clarifications on what --
(CROSSTALK)
SPICER: Sure -- ask away, Jonathan.
QUESTION: (Inaudible) I don't want to get into it or relitigate the whole issue, but like, on the issue of Metro ridership, you made a statement about --
SPICER: We did, and at the time that was provided by the inaugural committee came from an outside agency that we reported on. And I think knowing what we know now, we can tell that WMATA [Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority] numbers are different, but we were trying to provide numbers that we had been provided. That wasn't like we made them up out of thin air.
QUESTION: And do you stand by your statement that was the most watched inaugural --
SPICER: I think --
QUESTION: -- address of the --
SPICER: Sure, it was the most watched inaugural. When you look at -- look, you look at just the one network alone got 16.9 million people online. Another couple of the networks there were tens of million people that watched that online. Never mind the audience that was here, the 31 million people watching it on television.
Combine that with the tens of million of people that watched it online, on a device. It's unquestionable. I -- I don't -- and I don't see any numbers that -- that dispute that when you add up attendance, viewership, total audience in terms(ph) of tablets, phones, on television. I'd love to see any information that proves that otherwise.
QUESTION: And -- and then, what --
SPICER: So, do -- do you dispute that?
QUESTION: Well, I don't want to get into numbers. I -- I --
SPICER: Well, I do. I mean --
QUESTION: OK.
SPICER: I'm just saying, you're asking me a question about my integrity. I have a right to say if you add up the network streaming numbers, Facebook, YouTube, all of the various live streaming that we have information on so far. I don't think there's any question it was -- that it was the largest watched inauguration, ever.
QUESTION: More than Ronald Reagan's in 1981?
SPICER: I'm pretty sure that Reagan didn't have YouTube, Facebook, or the internet.

about alternative facts, before that gets out of hand as well...

imagine we have a large green apple.

a) the apple is green
b) the apple is large
c) the apple is small

can you tell the difference between an alternative fact and a false fact?
That's not what Trump and Spicer are doing. Take a 4-ounce green apple.

a) CNN: The apple is green and small: it weighs 4 ounces
b) Trump via Spicer: The apple is green, so green, you're gonna ask it to stop being so green ,and it's YUUUGE, it weighs 3 pounds.

Spicer actually quotes figures that are demonstrably false (we call these "lies" in English). Despite these being provably false, Conway calls them "alternative truths".

btw, conway said "alternative facts", not "truths". get your facts straight.
