Trump and DHS do not seem to be backing down, rather doubling down.

The court order was for those affected by how ICE was so hung-ho in implementing the executive order. Contrary to the hystericals, the objective of the Executive Order is NOT to bar Muslims from entering the country. It is implement an accountable process for vetting those who will be coming in.

Once there is a reliable way of vetting, and those coming in are trackable, the process will be re-opened.

Hypocritically, the Europeans who are criticising the US now will likely ask for use of the same vetting process they develop. :roll eyes: I'd like to see Trump kick Juncker's ass.
So if it is not about Muslims then why are other religions exempt?

I never said he was. I'm not the one who thinks he's Hitler here

We'll see what happens. In the meantime, there's no need to be a sore loser.
You're utterly delusional. I have never said that Trump is Hitler reincarnated. I may not have voted for Trump but that doesn't mean that A) I'm a loser or B) I want him to fail. He's still my president and it's still my country. To presume I want the country to collapse in a heap just because of Trump is a stretch.

I'd like to see him turn it around and act like an adult and a proper president, and stop getting into petty skirmishes. I've even said before that I'm willing to give him time because he just started and doesn't have a clue how to be diplomatic. He might be a bit nutty, but he's not stupid.

If you think that only people who voted for him are winners and everyone else is a loser, then your worldview is sadly limited.

Donald Trump’s immigration ban threw Los Angeles’ bid for the 2024 Olympics into turmoil as the city’s mayor accused him of “fanning the flames of hatred”.

Nope, not at all.

I just find the ones continually crying about him pathetic. Entertaining, but still pathetic.

From Trumps executive order
Quote:
The Secretaries of State and Homeland Security may jointly determine to admit individuals to the United States as refugees on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, when the person is a religious minority in his country of nationality facing religious persecution
Next question

And today's tweet

Quote:
Christians in the Middle-East have been executed in large numbers. We cannot allow this horror to continue!

The media is describing the affected countries as 'muslim majority' so, yes, not officially exempt based on any particular religion but for all intents and purposes it's as good as.

Where are the examples of people 'continually crying'?

Are you not used to people disagreeing with you, and have to find a way to deal with it?

It's lazy shorthand. The new right have learnt from the "progressive" left that you don't actually have to have a point, you just need to throw words around.

The "progressive" left have been asking for this for years. Not sure what the rest of us have done to deserve it, though.

I'm a right winger. I think Trump is a total dick and completely unworthy of the term "conservative". I think the same of several participants of this thread. They've hijacked our movement, just as the social justice warrior types hijacked the socialist movement.

They're all full of shit. All of them. On both sides.

Trump isn't going to effect lasting change. He will put his mark on his tenure, same as everyone who went before him, same as anyone who went after him.
I've said this before.

Trumps' lasting legacy is already here.

He has shown you can win an election while totally diregarding all the things the experts agree you need to do to win an election. Call it alternative reality or whatever you want but he won because of it and not despite it.

Expect large numbers of copycats in different countries all around the world, both on the left and on the right of politics.

Be happy about it or not, this is his lasting legacy.

Things will never be the same again.

Few examples:

The (unironic) references to Hitler and George Orwell.
The thread about Putin trolls infiltrating EF.
The thread about protesting (in Zurich!)

''Plus he's eroding and polluting the very foundation and essence of the American way of life and dressing it up as "change" and other fancy buzzwords''
''He banned refugees on Holocaust Memorial Day''
''Trump surrounded by seven men signing the executive order''

For some good examples go read some of TobiasM’s posts.

I just find it a bit over the top. That's my opinion and i'm happy for you to disagree.

You quoted me (and only me) in the post and then said "I'm not the who thinks he's Hitler here". To whom should I think your comment was directed, if not at me?

I should note though that this is nothing new in the US. Its in the country's heritage. Its actually what led to the founding of the Democrat party by Andrew Jackson.

As far as I see here, it is merely the US asserting its sovereignty and independence.

Oh please. You don't understand what is going on in the US. Your way of arguing your points, virtue signalling, then trying to insult people into silence, sheer emotionality and shrillness shows you don't even have the clarity to understand the issues being discussed. Those are the telltale signs of SJWs and libtards.

A quick look back over your posts and that could easily be a description of yourself.

Pretty much covers your trolling style nicely.
