I don't think members should be shamed for having private esthetic opinion. I wonder if I should change my private esthetic opinion to not dissappoint people online.

Again, your opinion is fine and dandy, as an opinion.
I am surprised you seem to condone employers enforcing a dress code on women which is sexist and worse.

It's fine to ask employees to dress 'professionally' - but not 'sexily' or in a way which causes health problems (high heels) or is totally discriminatory.
I remember the good ol' days when a lady dressed like a lady; not because she was told to but because she wanted to dagnabbit!

I'm pretty sure the sandwiches used to be better back then too

What does "dress like a lady" look like to you? Just curious.

To me, "dress like a lady" looks like the picture I posted up thread - sleek, confident, sophisticated, strong. Minus the white color and plus a hat - I personally do not like to wear white, but love hats.

I think everyone of us will have a very different idea about what "dressing like a lady" is supposed to mean, all equally valid opinions until they remain in the opinion realm but don't become a diktat.

P.S. Even with the floral dress I'm still sticking out as a "foreigner" in Miami - I am not wearing 12cm heels and I wear no makeup. Darn, one can never please everyone!!!

I get the idea and the humor, but I think people need to let this go. While the media is focusing on something she's already admitted she stated wrongly, many other things are going on that are worth more attention (imo).

she really seems to want to make this massacre happen (lied about the massacre in two other interviews and claimed soldiers were killed)

Have a look at the things she said about donald before he hired her. She lies for whoever pays her most. . Seems dangerous to normalise such behavior.

Too late to let it go, Trump seems to believe in the Bowling Green Massacre

Quote:
President Trump used his first speech to military service members today to accuse the news media of refusing to report on terrorist attacks.

Speaking at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla., Trump rattled off a series of strikes carried out by “radical Islamic terrorists”. “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported,” he told a group of senior commanders. “And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”

The president implied that media organizations have an ulterior motive to bury coverage of the attacks. “They have their reasons and you understand that,” he said. Trump provided no evidence to back up his comments

So can anyone who wants to study there just go there and study, or do they in fact have a selective entry policy for that too?
Not sure what you mean?

To study in a US university you have to meet the entry requirements for the course that you are interested in and be offered a place.
To enter the US you have to get a visa and to pass any vetting the Govt. applies in your case before visa approval.

Will there ever be a quiet day in this man's presidency? e.g. Trump visits a biscuit factory and has dinner with local mayor
I don't think so

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I got a fancy we should all be thankful Donald wasn't in charge back in 2001 as quite a lot us would probably be no longer here.

Whilst i think Donald is somewhat right in trying to clean up Washington, the way he is going about it can only end in tears....

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

An CNN/ORC poll released last Friday found that 53 percent of U.S. adults oppose Trump’s executive order on immigration, compared with 47 percent who say they support it.

Two other national surveys, also released Friday, showed most Americans disapprove of the travel ban.
A CBS poll found 51 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s executive order, compared to 45 percent who approve.
A similar survey conducted by Gallup found 55 percent of Americans disapprove of the travel ban, compared to 42 percent who approve.
(The same poll also showed 60 percent of Americans disapprove of Trump’s plan to construct a wall along the U.S. southern border with Mexico, compared to 38 percent who support it.)

This caused trumplethinskin to tweet

Any negative polls are fake news, just like the CNN, ABC, NBC polls in the election. Sorry, people want border security and extreme vetting.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

16 States have now joined the case against Trump's ban plus a last minute request from Hawaii.
The states include New York, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Vermont, the Commonwealths of Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, as well as the District of Columbia; two had voted for Trump!.

Also the total number of companies filing against the ban has now reached 127; mostly tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Netflix and even Twitter but some non techs like Levi Strauss.

The hearing tomorrow is simply to decide whether to continue the motion stopping Trump's ban; it is not about the constitutional validity of the ban. Likely that will have to go to the Supreme Court!
