Trump is like a modern day Al Capone who despite years of mafia work was finally jailed for tax evasion. In the end it will be a stupid twitter post that will bring him down and not the dodgy dictatorship stuff.

He shouldn't be promoting his or his daughter's business from the White House. | | | | | One of the ways people on here argued for him was by portraying him as a businessman. As that's what businessmen do, ie promoting their business, they actually got what they wished for.

Of course all politicians milk what they can out of being in office, but some of them wait until they have left office first.
I think making a few million dollars on the side just because you can milk being the first lady is unethical.

Just had a quick peruse of Ivanka's website to see what all the kerfuffle is about, and the clothing is a little 'old' for my taste, except for one pair of tropical print shoes. However, in the 'Travel' section there's some half decent articles r.e. business etiquette in other countries, but lot's of links to Trump Org. With Ivanka living in the White House for the foreseeable, has she also had to break all business ties with Trump International?

If Melania did that, instead of bemoaning her loss of promoting an 'own brand', then more power to her.

But it's hypocritical by those who were for him to criticise him for still doing what he was lauded for when nobody cared about his ethics before the election or after, or pressured him to sell his businesses (which may indeed a difficult thing on such relatively short notice) or that he's residing still in Trump Tower which forces the secret service to rent, and of course pay to Trump, a whole floor of the tower - ka-chingelingeling.

Trump will always be a businessman, it's all he knows how to do.

It started off very well but for me in the last few days it lost its ring of authenticity; maybe their source got cold feet |

On a side note, it seems some of his cheerleaders here on EF have gone a little quiet recently....

According to a study published in a travel retailer magazine: President Donald Trump’s ban on nationals from seven mainly Muslim countries entering the USA appears to be deterring travelers from other countries around the world too, according to data from ForwardKeys.

Draft-dodger Trump once again decides to dedicate this morning's crapper tweets to figuratively crapping on people that actually served. The glory! It shines so bright!

So not much that can be done on that front. Ethically she should cut ties with businesses but legally I think she's in the clear. A question for the Americans on EF please.
Is it usual/standard practice to broadcast the swearing in of Presidential picks?

Sen.Richard Blumenthal, who never fought in Vietnam when he said for years he had (major lie),now misrepresents what Judge Gorsuch told him? | | | | | | Quote: | | | | Ron Bonjean, who is leading communications for Gorsuch during the confirmation process, confirmed Gorsuch called Trump's tweet about the "so-called judge" "disheartening" and "demoralizing" in his conversation with Blumenthal. | | | | | Confusing isn't it | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |
