What does my head in is the use of 'libtard'. If you're going Manchester/Liverpool way anytime soon, please... please use that term all the time in conversation. Then you'll get what you deserve.
Corrected that for you

The author of the Lawfare article Trump cited, Benjamin Wittes, tweeted that the president distorted his argument and he himself supports the decision.

You really could not make this stuff up
Genius! Just read his post and added this to my favourites... https://twitter.com/lawfareblog

p.s. TJ Maxx have trashed the Ivanka product signs and mixed them in with the rest of the stock. Oops!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Donald Trump speaking at his father's funeral.

And when Donald Trump spoke, as Gwenda Blair recounts in her multigenerational history of the Trump family, the focus quickly shifted from the man in the coffin to the one at the lectern, and the tenor of the occasion changed from eulogistic to solipsistic. To Donald Trump, the single most praiseworthy thing about his father was that he had always believed in Donald, whether it was Trump Tower or Trump Plaza or Trump Castle or the Trump Taj Mahal he happened to be working on. ''At his own father's funeral, he did not stop patting himself on the back and promoting himself,'' Blair writes. ''The first person singular pronouns, the I and me and my, eclipsed the he and his. . . . There was to be no sorrow; there was only success.'' It was, she writes, an ''astonishing display of self-absorption.'

THE TRUMPS
Three Generations That Built an Empire.
By Gwenda Blair.
Illustrated. 591 pp. New York:
Simon & Schuster. $30

There's also Option C.

Trump is actually a liberal Democrat and his aim is to make the Republican brand so toxic that they'll be out of power for a generation. If so he's doing a good job.

Well now Trump has time to invent an immediate threat to the USA just like they did in going to war with Iraq.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump really is special. In July 2012 he tweeted that Obama was issuing executive orders in a "power grab". Now he has already signed more than any other president in the first two weeks - who's grabbing power?

I can see Canada from my house!

You've heard of Montezuma's revenge? Well this is Trump's revenge:

Sarah Palin may become the US ambassador to Canada.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...ador-to-canada

Edit:

Comments from Canada thus far:

“Dear Mr. Trump: Rather than appoint Sarah Palin as ambassador to Canada, please bomb us. Signed, all intelligent life in Canada.”

"In Canada, Palin would have to learn to speak one of our official languages."

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

For the first time, US investigators say they have corroborated some of the communications detailed in a 35-page dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent, about Russian intervention in the US election.

So far nothing dramatic, just that some of the dates, locations and times of telephone conversations mentioned in the dossier between individuals could be confirmed.

"slowly, slowly catchee monkee!"

A White House official told Reuters the president had decided not to take the travel ban to the supreme court, following his setback in a San Francisco federal court yesterday.

Particularly when it is common practice to use the position, and other such positions such as being royalty, to promote the designers of your home country. If Melania did that, instead of bemoaning her loss of promoting an 'own brand', then more power to her.
I am sure nobody in the Trump family would abuse their position to make money.

BTW, the Trump owned Mar-a-Lago (the winter White House!); the non-refundable membership fee was doubled to $200,000 within weeks of his election.
