Well, you are making things up at this point. I see no self-enriching to the detriment of the american people. You'd do better to first point out where that is taking place.
Seriously?

Quote:
Can you just clarify which establishment? The Cabinet, which is made up of people horrifically unskilled for the role but who contributed significantly to his campaign?

Or perhaps you mean physical establishment? like his Trump Tower penthouse, which the american taxpayer is paying the security for, despite the fact that there is no compelling reason he should be there rather than the luxurious mansion given to him by the american tax payer in the first place?

Or maybe you mean his Mar-A-Lago resort, which has more than doubled is rates when he started spending his weekends there, and for which the american taxpayer is footing the bill, while he discusses national secrets openly in the dining room.

Yes, definitely some reforming going on there.

Well, reform of his bank accounts, i mean. The US government, not so much.

Did he now?

The president is the sole beneficiary of the Donald J Trump Revocable Trust, which is tied to his social security number as the taxpayer identification number, according to documents published online by the investigative nonprofit ProPublica.

Previous ethics advisers to Barack Obama and George W Bush and the leader of the Office of Government Ethics have said Trump has not gone nearly far enough to absolve himself of potential conflicts of interest. They have also raised concerns about his appointment of his son-in-law to a White House post, and filed suit alleging that Trump has violated the constitution’s ban on profiting from foreign governments.

Trump’s two adult sons and Weisselberg are running the company while Trump is president, but Trump himself still financially benefits from it, the documents suggest. Precedent has been for presidents to sell off their holdings and place the cash into a truly blind trust – not one overseen by a family member – before taking office, even though there is no legal requirement to do so.

It is your assumption it was because he is Muslim.
The article clearly stated "no reason was given"

So it was not "Sensational - BS" it was "Sensational - assumption"

It is not a non story; a British citizen with a valid visa was removed from his flight and not allowed to continue. This is a major story.

I will certainly reconsider any plans to tour the US.
No, it is not my assumption. It is what the article would like people to assume. Otherwise, why even mention it? Might as well say that a short guy got removed from the plane..

nothing but spin on a non-story.

My brother arrived in the UK to hike the Pennine way a few years back. He was accused by UK immigration of coming to try to make money off of the 2012 Olympics somehow?? Held for 8 hours at the airport. It didn't make the news, because it's a non-story.

So to reiterate:

You are happy for him to use the presidency to enrich himself and his friends, to the great detriment of the american people, as long as he shows hints of reforming the bits of the US Government you think need reforming (even though you accept he is unlikely to do any actual reforming).

Can i get a 'Hell, yeah!'

(Please, Phos. For old times sake . just reply 'Hell, Yeah!')

That's a ridiculous assertion.

Let me try:

You're happy for the US to forego this path altogether, and instead follow a lying candidate, partiularly Hillary Clinton, who truly already has enriched herself and her friends to the great detriment of all people.

The Clintons have made over $150 million on "speaking fees". Trump has done nothing of the sort, yet.

I will answer that question in the 'Will Clinton be a good president' thread.

Now, answer my question:

So to reiterate:

Are you happy for him to use the presidency to enrich himself and his friends, to the great detriment of the american people, as long as he shows hints of reforming the bits of the US Government you think need reforming (even though you accept he is unlikely to do any actual reforming).

Ah, you're trying to hard. Like I said, that is not a concern of mine. I'm more interested in the overturn of certain apparatus that do not serve the US.

To be closer to reality:

Corruption by Trump: Imagined

Corruption by Clinton: Factual and real.

Like a revolution you mean? Or maybe a civil war? In who's eyes "certain apparatus that do not serve the US" - that's what ISIS think isn't it? Get rid of capitalism and convert everybody to Islam for their own good?

I think your statement above, if made by a foreigner would get you barred from entering the US.

Goldman Sachs out of the White House, but Trump has failed miserably there.

The Federal Reserve Bank needs to go.

for starters.

Case by case is OK, blanket bans are not

Blanket bans have been implemented by previous Presidents, and is also OK in some cases.

I think you should ban any blankets made in Mexico.
