Just catching up on messages from a couple of American friends last night, and they're fuming about the proposed budget cuts to meals on wheels and after school nutrition clubs. They're particularly incensed by Mulvaney's justification for the cuts. | Quote: | | | | We can't spend money on programs just because they sound good': Trump budget would slash funding from program that feeds 2 million seniors | | | | | http://uk.businessinsider.com/trump-...17-3?r=US&IR=T |

In other words, the US has finished making of a mess of the middle east, and are now planning to make a mess of the far east.

Is this a case of them having their cake and now being forced to eat it?
(metaphorical cake, of course. Trumps budget means they wont get any actual cake).

Really? I'd like to think that it's just editorialized.
Nothing too concerning.

If you have some reading time over the weekend, here is a rather long background piece on one billionaire family (the Mercers) who supported Trump's win.

Good to see small hands and Merkel looking like such a comfortable couple. Awkward.

What is it with this idiot President? Does he just think if he says it often enough for long enough it'll be true? Or does he just not care?

Un-be-lie-va-ble - and his refusal to shake hands in the Press shoot etc. At the same time saying he never made allegations about wire tapping, but only repeated what was said on Fox News- and then repeat today the only thing they have in common is to have both been wire tapped by Obama.
well at least Merkel now knows for sure, rather than hearsay - he is totally nuts. She must be seriously worried about what next.
Did you watch him skirm during the speech about St Patrick being an immigrant, and about Irish immigration in the USA? I thought he was going to yank (!) the mike out of the Irish Minister's hand. Surprised he didn't take the opportunity to mention Scottish immigrants that joined the Irish !

LOL.I am not American so don't really care about who is the USA president.
I have to however admit that Trumpet has definitely made politics interesting again.it's a laugh a minute. He has the guts to say what so many other gutless
politicians were to scared to say.
It has opened up a whole discussion which needs to be discussed by western nations. You cannot just cower and crawl when someone calls you a racist etc etc etc. Say your say and don't be scared. It seems to have empowered others to also start saying what they are thinking without fear. These things need to come out into the open and be discussed and decided upon.

Trump's risk is that House Republicans will eventually totally ignore him like they did with Obama in the second term and do their own thing |

However not just under Obama but also under Bush and Clinton as this is not a problem related to a single president but rather an institutional problem.

With Fox News also stating very clearly that they have no evidence r.e. Trump being wiretapped, it's strictly a matter for the WH and Judge Andrew Napolitano. It's entirely up to them to offer clarification and evidence or shut the hell up and get on with business. Whatever happened to getting facts varified before opening your trap when you're in a position of responsibility. http://edition.cnn.com/videos/politi...p-sot-lead.cnn |
