Priebus is very establishment Republicana - I think he can make Trump work with the party.

I see Bannon as spawn of the devil. Vindictive. I find Brietbart as a resource abhorrent.
Weekly cage fights between the two?
I don't really see where these two guys share a lot of common ground, so that could be a little problematic.

What do you all think about the appointment of Mr. Priebus as Chief of Staff and Mr. Bannon as Strategist/Senior Advisor?

They look like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde to me...

On Prebius, shows pragmatism. On Bannon, shows loyalty. If either do not work out, they can be replaced.

They could televise the "discussion" weekly. Republican studio wrestling.

I wasn't talking to you, Tom...

Presumably, nothing that's happened in the US (or in this case, thousands of kilometres from the US) over the last (quite a) few years concerns you.

"Priebus as Chief of Staff" Safe choice but conflicts with Trump's rhetoric about insiders, dynasties, draining the swamp, etc.

"Mr. Bannon as Strategist/Senior Advisor" No idea of the goals and deliverables of this role so it is hard for me to comment; maybe it is Trump's way of keeping Priebus out of mischief while he fights turf wars with Bannon.

I don't think you have a really good grasp of recent US history.
I guess the OP left school before these conflicts started

Leslie Stahl in the 60 minutes interview asked Trump about all the insiders and lobbyists in his transition team. He said that the only people who coukd help right now are insiders, but that once things are going, he'll replace them.

I found his affect fascinating. He talks at people, but not to people. Will this matter? Hopefully not too much, as long as he has good surrogates for diplomacy, etc. He has no attention span to speak of. Will this matter? Again, maybe not.

We'll see what happens, won't we?

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The other choice I've been reading about is Ben Carson for sec'y education.

Bye-bye science.

This is really interesting....sort of a synopsis of stuff going on. Might be too biased for some of you.

Still laughing.

Two things abhorrent about this:
  1. People whingeing on social media about the result; "me me me"
  2. People gloating about it: "twat twat twat"

Not true; I see plenty of gloating without reference to whiny YouTube videos.

Its over-reactive drama intentionally posted for the world to see and react to. Some see tragedy, yet some see comedy.

Some find the downfall of hubris freakin hilarious.

Whereas others find the apparent legitimisation of discrimination "freakin" frightening.

Simply traded one perception of hubris for another. Will it be different? I guess we will see.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before in this thread (probably can also be pointed out which post, my mommy brain isn't fully working ), some Trump supporters definitely think he would be a good president, as Hillary would make the relationship with Russia even more unbearable. Not sure how Trump would make any difference in this matter.
