Maybe even earlier, if you want to believe some youtube conspiracy theorists.
It was just a different varnish, if you want, in the form of a corporatocracy.
Dems and Reps being two different sides of that coin.
Obama put nice smiles and eloquent speeches on top of it, so people could sleep better.
The US made its bed. Now it has to lie in it. | | | | | "The Kings of old have become governments, the Lords corporations and the common man is still a slave to both"
This bed is not inclusive to the U.S.

It is the perpetually outraged writers like Blow that make me think that the US really deserves the impeachment to happen to have to deal with the alternatives. Like the double standards, really.
But yeah, I admit his role is much more important than anyone else's in Europe.

Trump does not know when to keep his mouth shut https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...ational&wpmk=1
"President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said that Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.
The information Trump relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.
The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said that Trump’s decision to do so risks cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and National Security Agency."

Just been watching Senator Leahy interviewed about this by Wolf Blitzer on CNN, and it's all quite chilling.

The POTUS is allowed to declassify any classified information any time he wants, and tell anyone he wants, so not sure where the problem is. Difficult to impeach him if he is allowed to do it.
It's getting closer, but I think he will survive this one....unfortunately.

It's getting closer, but I think he will survive this one....unfortunately. | | | | | Allegedly, this info came from an ally who specified it could only be shared to a limited group of people.
The problems are that firstly it might be possible for it to be used to identify and maybe then kill the source and, if this does not happen, then this ally is anyway unlikely to share such important info with the US in the future.
Plus it all adds fuel to the fire about Trump/Russia collusion.
As you wrote POTUS is allowed to declassify any classified information any time he wants; maybe in the future the US intelligence agencies might want to limit what they tell Trump which would be an unprecedented situation and maybe in itself illegal?
It was claimed long ago the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad would withhold some information sharing with the US because of a possible Trump risk.
Finally it now appears Trump is attending US intelligence briefings which he refused to do at the start of his Presidency.

Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle told the San Jose Mercury News that she was in talks with the Trump administration about taking a job in the White House's press operations – potentially as press secretary. This is the job currently performed by Spicer Source
