We came here long before the Free Movement Agreement was enacted here, but no problem in getting a permit as husband is an expert in his field and no one else in Switzerland who could do what he does. Nearly 20 years later that's still the case.
The UK will bring in a system similar to the Swiss or Oz one so the skills they need will be allowed in. That's always been the case. | | | | | Yes we are all special | The following 5 users would like to thank OSueco for this useful post:

The new Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in the 2016 Election, just out with a Trump 50% Approval Rating. That's higher than O's #'s! | | | | | Trump lying about Obama again.
Trump was correct in stating his approval rating in the latest poll, released on Friday, was at 50 per cent, but that was still 12 percentage points below Obama's final Rasmussen figure of 62 per cent.
In fact, the ex-President's approval rating was above 50 per cent in every poll released by the company from October 24 until he left office.
Going even further back, Obama's rating on June 16, 2009 - the same point in his presidency as Trump is at now - was 56 per cent, meaning he had the Donald beat in that regard as well.
| | | | | How quickly things change in politics, one week later | Quote: | | | | The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove. | | | | | Source
Rasmussen also run a Presidential Approval Index which for Trump is currently at -15.
At the same time in Obama's presidency his Index stood at +2.

President Donald Trump told Fox News on Feb 5th that Vice President Mike Pence would head a commission into voter fraud allegations that he made, claiming that between three to five million people voted illegally in the 2016 election.
On May 5th Trump issued an Executive order forming the bipartisan Presidential Commission on Election Integrity including naming the members and leaders.
The Commission has not yet met and there is no meeting date planned. Source
Looks like this topic will be quietly dropped?

"US President Donald Trump has broken a nearly 20-year-old tradition by failing to host a dinner marking the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The White House event had been held every year since President Clinton's tenure.
The Eid al-Fitr feast ends Ramadan, a period when Muslims fast and focus on charitable giving.
But US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reportedly rejected a request to hold a reception.
In May, Reuters said Mr Tillerson had refused a recommendation from the State Department's office of religion and global affairs to organise a celebration." http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40402211 | This user would like to thank Medea Fleecestealer for this useful post:

The modern tradition was restarted by First Lady Hillary Clinton, who hosted a meal on Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, in 1996.

Twenty-two million fewer people will have health care coverage by 2026 under the health care overhaul bill currently being considered by the Senate, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated Monday.
CBO previously estimated that 23 million fewer people would be covered under the bill passed by the House in May. President Trump told senators two weeks ago the House bill was "mean" and he wanted the Senate bill to have more "heart." Source
Republican rush to self destruction.
Trump seems to have a magical ability to survive failures that would destroy other politicians | Quote: | | | | Trump repeatedly promised that he would cover all Americans when given the chance to repeal and replace Obamacare. He stated that coverage for everyone was "just human decency" back in February of 2016.
In January 2017.
"We're going to have insurance for everybody," he said in an interview with The Washington Post. "There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can't pay for it, you don't get it. That's not going to happen with us."
One specific thing Trump has been clear on, however, is Medicaid. He has been consistent in voicing his opposition to any cuts to the program, which helps to provide coverage to low-income Americans. On the campaign trail, he often touted his promise to not touch Medicaid.
In October 2015, he tweeted, "I am going to save Medicare and Medicaid, (Dr. Ben) Carson wants to abolish, and failing candidate Gov. John Kasich doesn't have a clue - weak!"

The more he says he won't touch XY the more likely it is to be the next target aka victim. The ultrarich are in dire need of yet another $5trillion subsidy by the poor. Medicaid anybody?

New Pew survey spanning 37 nations shows declining US image..
Only 22 percent of those surveyed saying they had confidence Trump would do the right thing in world affairs, compared to 64 percent who trusted Obama.
Both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, with confidence ratings of 27 percent and 28 percent respectively, scored higher than Trump. Source | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:
