Apparently not quite true, it wasn't Putin, and it wasn't Russia:

Not to diminish your merits, but it's lazy for the journalist to not have found out. The poster features "www.in4s.net", which contains the following picture in a rather prominent position:

Pence
A joke from my Hoosier relatives*:

Q: Why did the state voted so heavily for Trump?

A: It was the quickest way to get Pence out of Indiana.

* Who sit on all sides of the political fence. Some are very conservative, some very liberal, some clustering around the middle. All dislike Pence as governor.

the US will be plunged into 4 years of mass demonstrations and violence. Something like the " Vietnam " era.

I hope there won't be "violence" as such, instead there will be a bigger implication of the civil society. Maybe in a way it's a good thing they all know now how divided their country is and how much anger and hate there is. If they'll keep Trump in check perhaps the net result will be a higher accountability of the presidential institution, who would have known. I think it's still people who can make the difference.

So, in other words, continuing what started under Obama.

Read Trump's tweets to help you understand the man:

It's not a pretty read.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The cast of Hamilton gave a speech to Mike Pence before he left the end of the show.
https://www.facebook.com/HamiltonMus...WSFEED&fref=nf

And these are Trump's tweets in reaction to the speech:

"The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!"

"Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!"

Yes, that too. Didn't know much about this Pence before but if he's anything like an admittedly stereotyped type of "religious" that I really dislike (there are a few types actually)....yeah, I can see why everyone is not happy with this choice.

Somehow I don't think Trump will get very far by speaking to anyone who expresses concern (let alone dissent) as if they were a petulant child.

His response was rather petulant, I thought.

How eloquently you deny and refuse to simply type the words:

- Pence and LGBT
- Pence and defunding abortion, including abortions as a result of rape - and wanting to redefine rape to exclude rape when drugging a person, etc.
- Pence and cigarette smoking
- Pence and "don't ask don't tell"
- Pence and HIV

Who sounds like a keyboard crusader now?

To get you started:

http://www.ontheissues.org/2016/Mike...vil_Rights.htm

It must be a pre-req that all men crusaders and office seekers participate in these cool trials:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tciKSzVZro4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b81Cr97ANrk
You fail miserably at making an actual argument, e.g., what is "Pence and LGBT" supposed to mean? What is your point? That Pence doesn't like gays because he values free speech over Fad X (or prefers Policy B over your preferred policy A)?

You do realize, don't you, that once it is established that speech can be compelled, it can be used against you too, right? Isn't that why so many people are freaking out because Trump won?

(Also, there are plenty of women who are much more anti-abortion than I've ever been.)

I will confess that I found him petulant and petty in the debates, but was pleasantly surprised to see him look at the camera in that interview and say "Stop it!", and that he had declined to take the presidential salary.

His response to the Hamilton theater thing swings the pendulum back. I don't think he will get much done if he can't resist responding to dissent by escalation.

I hope I am wrong, but I think he's a swindler, and he's in for himself and not the country. I guess time will tell.

From my angle: If he's going to use the Trump Tower as his residence, the people's taxes will be used to pay for absolutely everything in relation to the Trump Tower expenses and then some (towards securing an extensive area around the tower, his businesses and his family members). On top of it, he'll piss newyorkers off by blocking off traffic around the premises. He loves to retaliate, and this is a way to get back at them for supporting Clinton.

Reminds me of General Washington who declined his salary ca. $48,000 for 8 years war but instead only submitted expenses of ca. $449,000.

Some rules of the General’s model for expenses claims: omit nothing; be specific on the smaller expenditures and vague on the larger ones; whenever possible, intermingle personal and business expenses.

However, after the war when he offered to serve for expenses only after his election as first President, Congress promptly turned George Washington down flat.

Somebody should remind Congress of this story

Thread back open.

If you'd like to debate abortion in general terms, please move to:

Thread split - Abortion debate

This thread should mostly remain focused on Trump and Pence, and whether or not Trump will be a good president (as per the thread title). Thanks.
