Nobody is perfect, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't criticise people who don't live up to good moral (/legal!) standards.
Ben Affleck groping a woman doesn't make the Donald doing it any less reprehensible, does it?
Again, Trump fans can't seem to grasp this concept though, as the constant use of "Yes, but Hillary's worse" prevails.

| | | | | I'm no fan of Trump but always thought of him as an old guy, old slightly misogynistic/combined with macho style school.....Thus his little jokes (you can hear from lots of guys his generation) are rather benign to me.
A bit like those old guys who still think that racist jokes are funny.

According to a source, Bannon has told people he thinks Trump has only a 30 percent chance of making it the full term. Source
Seems to be an article knitting together various anonymous sources and some rumours; probably some kernel of truth there!

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that no team -- out of 105 franchises responding to the survey across the four major sports leagues -- confirmed that it stays at a Trump hotel on the road.
The hardest hit Trump hotel appears to be Trump SoHo, where at least 12 NBA teams had stayed previously. A person with knowledge of the Milwaukee Bucks' decision to drop Trump SoHo told The Washington Post that the Trump organization "was seen as not reflecting the franchise’s values, and some players were not comfortable patronizing its properties." Pushing millions of poor out of Healthcare.
So much for his campaign promises " - No one will lose coverage.
- There will be insurance for everybody.
- Healthcare will be a “lot less expensive” for everyone — the government, consumers, providers."

Trump says Iran violating nuclear agreement, threatens to pull out of deal.
Trump put the agreement in limbo without killing it off entirely as some backers had feared.
Trump accused Iran of committing "multiple violations of the agreement," despite the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency, America's European allies and even his own government say that Tehran is complying with the 2015 deal.
Trump warned that if he did not get the changes he wanted, he would unilaterally kill the deal. It is a multilateral deal so the US do not have the power to kill it, they can only withdraw. Source
Why would anyone (like N. Korea) feel comfortable working on a deal with one US administration, if the next one will simply ignore it?
He said "I am directing my administration to work closely with Congress and our allies to address the deal's many serious flaws". But the deal was signed by the US along with Britain, France, Germany, Russia, China, the European Union and Iran and none of the others want to change the deal |

First casualty of Trump's anti Iran spiel could be Boeing!
Boeing is the only U.S. company that has been granted direct access to the Iranian market. It has a deal to sell 110 planes to two Iranian carriers for a price tag of $20 billion.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | Oh please. Not that again.
People who voted for Trump.....
Are never getting coal/manufacturing jobs back
Have kids with student loans who may end up with crushing debt
Are looking at public education systems turned to shit
Will possibly loose their healthcare coverage
Might even find their illegal, but law abiding immigrant friends and relatives deported without any help
On and on and on.
Oh sure, I value education, and I lean left. But, the real elite in this mess are Trump, his friends, his cabinet, lobbyists, people like DeVos and Price, who want to basically create a wider gulf between the haves and the have nots.
And maybe this is elite, but if an average person voted for Trump, expecting that MAGA was going to help them, they were mislead and it was a stupid choice. Stupid. And that stupidity was fed by corporate media. That's my opinion from what I've observed. Don't agree? I don't give a rat's ass.
The problem is endemic....it's incompetence, selfishness, power grabbing by both sides. It's not Trump per se, but he is a symptom. | | | | | Update on coal!
Utilities have announced the retirements of 12 more coal-fired power plants since Trump took office, including two massive ones in Texas added to the closure list on Friday.
Half of America’s coal fleet has been marked for mothballs since 2010, a total of 262 doomed plants.
As jobs go, coal mining is now a tiny sliver of the U.S. economy, employing about 52,000 Americans last month, down 70 percent over three decades.
By contrast, the solar and wind industries employed almost ten times as many Americans last year, and they’re both enjoying explosive growth. Source | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |
