Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I can't help thinking that the best course for the media and everybody else would be to ignore Trump, totally, for one week. Report nothing about him, don't mention him. Act like he doesn't exist. That would incense him far more than what he perceives as fake or biased reporting, to the extent that I suspect he would fold in on himself and implode in a tiny puff of orange dust.

I'm sure the moderate and left-wing media would buy into that, but I can't see the likes of Fox or Breitbart doing so.

Widow??

The story was released by Representative Frederica Wilson and confirmed by Sgt Johnson's mother, Cowanda Jones-Johnson.

Thanks

Actually for me I can believe Trump is insensitive and that is not a crime, maybe he never had a major tragedy in his life that opened his eyes to people's feelings.

However his two big lies were for me far more serious.
Firstly that previous Presidents did not call dead soldier's families and secondly that the phone conversation with the widow was recorded; the White House now confirmed this was not true, "no recording".

If you turn the audio off and just watch his body language in the video clip, what do you see?

To me he looks a lot like a petulant 6 year old shouting "He started it!" in the playground. The only things missing are the stamping of feet and the tears.

There are lots of pictures of former Presidents with their arms crossed, even Nixon managed to look pensive while doing it.

So Russia, the FBI & the Dems are all working together in an anti Trump conspiracy?

So far I have been avoiding commenting on Trump's mental health but now one does start to wonder

Does not matter, Trump's "base" will swallow this story whole

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Donald Trump links UK crime rise to 'spread of Islamic terror'

In latest Twitter outburst US president makes terror link even though annual figures record all police-recorded offences

Donald Trump has erroneously linked a rise in recorded crime in the UK to the “spread of radical Islamic terror” in his latest outburst on Twitter.

“Just out report: ‘United Kingdom crime rises 13% annually amid spread of Radical Islamic terror.’ not good, we must keep America safe!” wrote the US president.

The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS), in its quarterly update on crime statistics on Thursday, reported a 13% increase in all police-recorded offences across England and Wales.

The ONS said police had recorded 5.2m offences in the year to June, including gun crime, knife crime, robberies, sexual offences, stalking and harassment, burglary and car crime.

The report barely mentions terrorism other than to refer on one occasion to the impact recent terror attacks in Britain had on the headline murder rate. Thirty-five people were killed in the incidents in London and Manchester.

Nevertheless, the president’s attention to the crime figures will not please Downing Street, as there were aspects of the ONS report that would have sounded political alarm bells, namely the acceleration in the rise in the number of police-recorded incidents of violent crime in the last two years. There were double-digit increases in certain types of violent crime, such as gun crime, knife crime and sexual offences.

The tweet was immediately seized on by far-right groups and commentators. It was retweeted by former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson.

Katie Hopkins quoted Trump’s tweet with a reference to “child rape squads”, which was in turn retweeted by Paul Watson, the alt-right conspiracy theorist.

Others called out Trump for linking the crime statistics with a rise in Islamist extremism.

Miqdaad Versi, assistant secretary general at the Muslim Council for Britain, who campaigns against misrepresentation of Muslims in the media, called the tweet “incompetent”.

Meanwhile Trump's chief of staff Kelly stepped up to the White House podium and delivered a moving and raw recounting of how soldiers killed in action are transported from the field of battle to their homes. How they are honored by their peers. And how they are the best of us.

Unfortunately he also demonstrated the same scant regard for truth as his boss.
Kelly recounted a tale about Rep Wilson's speech at the 2015 opening of a new FBI Miami office which story the Miami Herald denies.
He also failed to mention Rep Wilson's excellent work when she managed to get that new office named after two fallen Miami FBI agents.

Here's some genuine, authenticated fake news that appeared on Fox News, who'd a thunk it?

Retired ‘Navy SEAL’ praising Trump on Fox News was a fake. The guy claimed to have dozens of medals. In the end it was his own family & retired Navy SEAL fact busters who dragged Fox into confessing that the guy was a complete fake.

Just a shame Trump didn't fire off a Tweet about his highly decorated fan before the guy confessed.

Now a video has emerged of Wilson's speech which proves Kelly was lying. What a sad bunch are T and his slimy cohorts.

Been a strange week really.
Trump's chief of staff, the ex 4 star Marine General Kelley, claimed Rep Wilson said all sorts of inappropriate stuff at the opening of a new FBI building but the video of the event and her speech does not confirm this.

Then Trump's nominee CIA director Mike Pompeo announced that Russia had interfered in the US Presidential election but CIA had concluded they had not succeeded in influencing the result.
Then the CIA rushed out a Press statement saying that was not their conclusion!

They have been stay since he got into office so I pulled everything out- big mistake I don't really stocks but they were 'bought' for me. I guess that I just can't financially condone a Trump US, anyway I lost financially, won morally.
Meanwhile Trump takes the credit, financial oversight is getting looser and looser, is Trump keeping Yellin?
A lot of liberal friends say they are leaving US, if the midterms go South, I think it is just bluster., they'll hang in
But liberals are totally devastated here. It's so depressing.
I mean truly, if he wins the Midterms who would want to move here from Europe? It's a crying shame. This constant fire fighting is exhausting, he makes **** ups faster than we can block them.
