Trump did not go all the way he did not say "undivided capital"
That's irrelevant, the Jerusalem Embassy Act does. It's US law now.

Russia recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital, Czech Republic followed Trump yesterday, as well as.... err... Dueterte in the Philippines.

It may take a while because I think many of them are simply slow to catch on.
Do you have a source for this Russian fantasy?

Quote:
The Russian foreign ministry said US recognition risked “dangerous and uncontrollable consequences”.

Russia voices 'serious concern' at US Jerusalem move

Edit: In April, Russia recognized [pre-1967] West Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Maybe it was the US who were slow to catch on? Difference is that Trump did not limit his statement to West Jerusalem.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The US Bureau of Land Management auctioned 900 tracts of land in the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPR-A), totaling 10.3 million acres, for oil and gas drilling rights this week.

But only two companies bid, securing drilling rights for 7 tracts of land — or less than 1 percent of that offered — for only $1.16 million, Reuters reports.

It is hoped the GOP tax proposal will be paid for, in part, by lease sales in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) region; hopes are it will produce $1 billion in revenue for the federal government - looks over optimistic!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

You guys need to read more or learn how to google.

Ironically, Russia was the first country to recognize Jerusalem, and they did so unilaterally, without being asked or asking for anything in return. it puzzled the Israelis so much they did not even know how to react to it.

I think Putin got word that Trump was about to do it, so jumped in first for bragging rights.

Well it has some pretty stand-out landmarks, so recognising it isn't hard.

Their policy on the other hand is (statement from April 2017):

"We reaffirm our commitment to the UN-approved principles for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement, which include the status of East Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state. At the same time, we must state that in this context we view West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel" - Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Your go Phos.

And then what, start a new thread? What for? Might just as well keep this one running. Besides, however firmly your opinion may be on him, the jury is still out, he has three years left (at least).

And even after that opinions can still change

Just as opinion on presidents like Raegan, Bush II and Obama are still developing today because we can see the consequences of their actions and legacy through the lens of history rather than from the perspective of immediate bystanders.

DONALD TRUMP’S APPROVAL RATING HITS NEW RECORD LOW, MAKING HIM THE MOST UNPOPULAR PRESIDENT IN POLL HISTORY
Source (The Capitals are not mine, too lazy to retype )

Wonder if his Jerusalem decision will push him up the popularity charts?

Meanwhile Trump hosted the White House Hanukkah party early this year, five days before the holiday starts.

Which caused people to retweet this Trump post
Quote:
Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump

Why was the Hanukah celebration held in the White House two weeks early? @BarackObama wants to vacation in Hawaii in late December. Sad.

Such little things keep us amused

Congressional Democrats, as well as Jewish leaders who have been critical of Trump, were excluded from receiving invitations this year, The New York Times reported. Different from previous years which were not partisan!

Finally Trump has stopped sending inflammatory tweets this week after the disaster last week where he admitted knowing Flynn lied to the FBI. No doubt there will be a tsunami soon.

To be fair though, using a dentist as a wannabe-expert makes no sense here. All it does is (try to) instill a false sense of credibility when all anybody can do is speculate on what eveybody else knows as well.

yeah, it's going to be the bigliest embassy in all of Jerusalem. It's going to be so bigly that all them paddle-stinkian towel heads are going to stop shagging their sheep and come inside and play blackjack instead. Wonderful people those paddle-stinkians. Amazing. I love them all. And peace will reign for ever after. It's going to be the bigliest peace deal in history. Just you wait. This is how I win bigly.

They can watch nightly concerts of Cher, Celine Dion, Barbar Streisand or Wayne Newton.

That place is in desperate need of a sense of humor anyway.
