Trump objects to Russia provisions as he signs $700 billion defense bill!
Trump's signing statement Tuesday contained objections to more than 40 provisions in the defense bill, which passed both houses of Congress with large, bipartisan majorities. Source
Edit; So it is neither perfecto nor perfecta; strange man?

'The people of Alabama will do the right thing,'' said President Trump. Decency has won out.

Stunning result from a state where Trump won by 28 points, maybe the polls showing Trump's low popularity are true
Edit - a former chief of staff to McConnell, Josh Holmes, tweeted a sarcastic thank-you to Bannon “for showing us how to lose the reddest state in the union.”

Well done Alabama, I expect some of the electorate felt they had to hold their nose and vote for Jones in preference to Moore, i hope Jones realises that he might have to sometimes hold his nose and vote in line with the wishes of his constituents. Maybe then we'll see the dismantling of this dangerous tribalism that has affected American politics.

Seems Trump and Tillerson are still not comfortable with each other. | Quote: | | | | Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Tuesday that the United States would be willing to meet for diplomatic talks with North Korea "without precondition," in a show of good faith after the nation's recent ballistic missile test. | | | | | and the White House response | Quote: | | | | White House responds to Tillerson: Trumps position on North Korea hasnt changed
The White House on Tuesday reaffirmed that President Trump's position on North Korea has not changed, despite Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's comments that the U.S. would be open to bilateral talks with the country without preconditions. | | | | | But what is Trump's position? two weeks ago he said | Quote: | | | | Trump said in a tweet Wednesday. "Additional major sanctions will be imposed on North Korea today. This situation will be handled!" | | | | | So when will these major sanctions be announced?
Trump's position seems to be just reliance on rhetoric!

And turnout among blacks was up by 20%.
Apparently a parody of Roy Moore’s horse is tweeting (he rode to the polls on a horse). Moore is not a good rider, so lots of jokes about that. The “horse” is @horse_sassy

Roy Moore would have been to Washington what Farage is like to Brussels. Jones has an opportunity to translate Alabama values to Washington, and Democrat values to Alabama. But if he turns out to be just a Schumer obstructionist, this would prove to have just been a media manipulated fluke.
Seems like Jones won by only 20,000 votes.

At the same time, we would have seen an exodus of Republican donors who simply donate for tax cuts. Ironically, Roy Moore could have killed the GOP as we know it today. Now they can go back to corrupt swamp business as usual.

Jones turned a 2:1 Republican majority into a Republican loss.
And he won the popular vote, something Trump couldn't and never will achieve. I find it hilarious that Trump complained on Twitter that "the write-in votes played a very big factor (sic)"; that's akin to saying that the Electoral College played a very big part in Trump's win.
