So glad Hillary lost. But Trump will destroy USA | Quote: | | | | | Dad hit a solid with his National Security Strategy, I mean Trump. It is quite clear where he and the US stands, and where it is going. Makes it clear for everyone else where they are in relation to it. It should also send a clear message of support to Eastern Europe, as well as notice to the EU.
I also love how Nikki Haley showed up the hipocrisy of all the other 14 countries in the UN Security Council. Totally love how that Indian-American woman put every one in the UNSC in their place.
So glad Hillary lost. The world would have been in a duplicitous mess under her. The US is back on track with Trump.
If only the UK had more balls, eh?

Tax reform will have similar effect as quantitative easing. Already, EU is complaining tax cuts give the US an unfair advantage. Other countries may have to follow suit to harness the momentum, or simply lose out on the opportunity.
Cutting off low wage illegal immigration should steer jobs towards unemployed americans. Already, we have the lowest unemployment rates for African Americans in 17 years.
That machine will turn and hum, because we don't have a choice for it not to. Its not like we are Europeans who sit and wait for their governments to hand them down something.

For sure there is less regulation. Markets, stocks, profits are up. Whether that‘s due to or in spite of the current administration, no one seems to agree.
For the average guy, there is no real salary growth, hasn‘t been in years. Can Trump et al turn it around? We‘ll have to see. If it continues to stagnate, it may dampen Trump’s support.
Also, if the economy continues to grow, and the administration limits non immigrant visas (e.g., H1b), and there aren’t enough American workers to fill technical growth, the economy may stop growing.
But maybe Phos is right. Maybe not.
Oh, and I have to add, that if you think hard work is enough..... it’s not. Elements of randomness, luck, investment all play a role. So does support of workers. But again, we’ll see...

But maybe Phos is right. Maybe not. | | | | | The markets are definitely up due to Trump. When his agenda is sidetracked, the market drops along with the fake news.
Stemming low cost illegal immigration labour is pumping jobs towards Americans. Inhibitting the wage dumping should pull up wages naturally.
Tax cuts will be pumping in more cash into the economy. It will also repatriat a lot of off shore accounts. It is still left to be seen what those corporations will do with that money. They will likely buy back their own stocks and prop up their own values, but eventually needs to be reinvested back into the economy.
A follow up infrastructure bill is still needed to put it into second gear. Building walls and bridges should employ more people.
Forecasts by institutions are already starting to price in a boom.
By golly, I think Trump is going to win this one as well. | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | The markets are definitely up due to Trump. | | | | | Please look at a historical graph, it was at its lowest point in the last 20 years in Feb 2009, the first full month of Barry's presidency. It has been a pretty steady rise ever since, Trump is just continuing the good work BO did. I suppose that's what is really eating him, and you. In fact Obama's first year in charge had a much steeper gradient to the curve, so he can't even outperform the man he couldn't stop criticising on the economy. Sad!

Since 1929 in USA, there have been 28 cycles. On average, the booms last 38.7 months and the busts last 17.5 months. The USA is heading into the Bust
