To be perfectly honest, I don't care about the tax arrangements in a country that's an ocean away. It shouldn't bother you either.
God forbid people on an internet forum have opinions. You seem awfully animated about the President of a country an ocean away though, perhaps you should take your own advice.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

All fine companies hoping for help from Trump.
The Department of Justice is suing to block AT&T $108-billion merger with Time Warner, citing anti-trust concerns. However the fundamental objection from the White House is widely believed to be Time Warner subsidiary CNN’s critical coverage of Trump.

Wells Fargo trying to recover its reputation after admitting to a total of up to 3.5 million potentially fake bank and credit card accounts plus the auto loan scandal.
Quote from Wells Fargo’s CEO, Tim Sloan, appearance before the Senate Banking Committee “At best, you were incompetent. At worst, you were complicit. Either way, you need to be fired,”

Comcast is giving its employees $1,000 bonuses because net neutrality is dead, nothing to do with tax reform!

Is the 'anyone can come from anywhere and become president' bit a reference to Obama?
I guess so...

Politics runs in cycles. In 7 years time (or less) America will vote for someone who will fit Obama's profile...maybe an actor, who knows. They seem to like them a lot.

I wonder how will the president character look like - Asian, gay, and happily married? What else? I only hope for a bit of authenticity, in Obama's case they had that.

I think Trump only got elected because of Obama. So one extreme led to another, with the pendulum swinging further into the extreme every time.

If that is going to continue, I cringe to think what the next Democrat president will be like, or the next Republican after that ....

Na, I very much hope the next president will be more the boring caretaker-in-a-suit type so things can normalize and calm down a bit. But I'm not holding my breath.

The only thing "extreme" to people about Obama was his colour. He was towards the left of the American political spectrum, which in real politics placed him somewhere in the centre-right bracket. Standard Dem position, not extreme in any way at all.

To that question, Trump apparently already has.

No way! There is no fun in that. We love the shaking up of things.

That is so racist. The problem with Obama is that he picked the wrong side of issues, and worse yet is the net results of his impact has been disastrous.

The real problem with Trump is that he picked the right issues.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump must be doing something right on tax, as he's upset the EU.

"fair-taxation"

US tax reform breaks global rules, EU says

Well if you bother to read the article and actually understand what it says, you'll se the EU have a pretty good case.

Yeah, go for it!

According to Syngenta the Chinese are running out too
But let's face it, what exactly is the deeply indebted US giving to someone when it says it gives them money?!

As we say here: "Papier ist geduldig".
The US sent out about $50 billion in foreign aid last year alone. Hell, we can build 2 or 3 walls for that.

I am sure the Chinese will be more than happy to extend their cheque book influence; the Russians too if they had any money
LOL Have fun with that.

Good case for what? They can complain and moan all they want, it's unlikely to change anything. Trump is just doing what he said he'd do. "America First" remember?

If this move results in Europe having to reduce taxes to compete then this will be a good thing.

Has the same unfair impact on the UK. Luckily we are still in the EU who have the resources to fight this for us.

Don't you just hate it when those foreign snowflake companies complain about unfair government practices in other countries?

Oh.
That is subsidization, not taxation.

UK Corporate tax rates are at about 20%? New US corporate tax rate is at 21%, down from down from 39%. What unfairness, and who is snowflaking?

And watch, this is one of the UK's big sticks in Brexit negotiations.

You did not read the link did you?
The EU complaint has nothing to do with the new US corporate tax rate

Yet again, you didn't read your own link. This is about the US subsidising US companies. Hence the probable complaint to the WTO.
