Visiting London is fine - it's once you've lived there that you realise what a shithole it is.

Can honestly say that I don't know anyone who has lived in London and sees it as a 'shithole'. If anything, they always emphasis that London is a collection of villages, each with it's own identity, that come under the greater title of London.

So blatantly EDL supporters, you can see it in the way they look and how they act. I guess they think if the left can get away with this sort of protest then so can they. The thing is fascist agendas shouldn't be given any sort of airing, yet they will claim its their right to free speech to preach hatred and then start comparing themselves to left wing protesters.

So far it's been mostly the lefties who do all the protesting/rioting, looks like the right-wings are getting in on some of the action...oh, and the hashtag stuff too of course!

Since when has inquiring after member's info that can identify them, been a good netiquette?! People are free to put out info on themselves as they wish, they are grown ups and it is their own risk. But being nosey or personal to others and possibly exposing them is a no-no.

Just deal with the fact, folks, that there are members with different opinions. Thank god that EF has not become an echo chamber and that we do allow a decent and quite civil debate with various views.

I was replying directly to him posting the information himself, including how many months he lived in Harrow. Whilst I was writing my post, he must have amended his, hence why I edited mine. I didn't expose anything that he didn't write himself in the post above mine.

No, it doesn't, but I am intrigued as to why someone would describe it as a shithole.

I've never lived there, and have never wanted to. I know the city pretty well from work and visits, but the closest I ever lived to it is a tiny little village of less than 1,000 people between Heathrow and Datchet. The sole reason that I wouldn't want to live in London is that I prefer living in towns. To me, cities are where I go to work and play. OH lived in Deptford for a few years in a shared house full of Saffas and Aussies, so a lot of their nights out were in Shepherd's Bush, Hammersmith, etc...

Perhaps time to go back to the initial question posed by Phil_MCR on 09.11.16- there might have been some doubt then.
