They should all be wearing red noses in Trumps circus.
Today | Quote: | | | | President Donald Trump contradicted his own administration on Thursday when he tweeted that funding for the Children's Health Insurance Program should not be included in a short-term plan to fund the government.
That is the opposite to what his own administration said on Wednesday.
"The Administration supports the bill's multiyear funding extension of the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)," the Office of Management and Budget said in a statement. "If H.J. Res. 125 were presented to the President in its current form, his advisors would recommend that he sign the bill into law." | | | | | Source | Quote: | | | | President Donald Trump insisted Thursday that he has remained consistent in his plans for a border wall, a day after his chief of staff, John Kelly, told Fox News he has "changed his attitude" on it.
Trump was fuming after Kelly's Fox News interview, a source familiar with the matter told CNN, adding that the President "hated" the comments. | | | | | Source
I actually feel sorry for GOP lawmakers who are trying to put something together that Trump will actually sign.

He needs to know what Trump said in a tweet so he can either explain it or defend it or just ignore it. | Quote: | | | | | ...I actually feel sorry for GOP lawmakers who are trying to put something together that Trump will actually sign. | | | | | Me too, but I feel sorry for both parties. Do you think a sacked coal miner is turning down jobs like Chief of Surgery at his local hospital, or turning down jobs of similar stature to coal mining? If he's turning down jobs similar or worse than the one he had before, then taking then would not lead to upwards mobility, it would be downwards or sideways at best. | | | | | Tell a unemployed coal miner in Tennessee " there are jobs in North Dakota . i think I know the answer ,it won't be nice

Apparently there's a memo circulating congress that details abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by senior Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigations officials in relation to the investigation of the Trump campaign. If true could spell trouble for Obama, Comey and Hillary. Get the popcorn and the ready! Republicans rally for public release of memo on FISA abuses | The following 2 users would like to thank for this useful post:

But why does it need to be released to the public in order to have an effect? Or doesn it need to be made public to be usable by prosecution?
"Gaetz, who has previously called for the removal of special counsel Robert Mueller, said there could be "major changes" for people working in the DOJ and FBI as a result of the memo's release."

"Gaetz, who has previously called for the removal of special counsel Robert Mueller, said there could be "major changes" for people working in the DOJ and FBI as a result of the memo's release." | | | | | It is a memo written by some GOP Congressmen from the House Intel committee without involving the Dems so whether it is objective and factual remains to be seen.
Obviously there are GOP people who want to discredit the DOJ and the FBI to try to protect Trump. Destroying people's confidence in the rule of law in the US is hardly patriotic and long term likely to turn out to be a poor idea.
The memo is claimed to be based on classified documents so the information is already available to any prosecution.

US Govt. shutdown looks ever more likely.
Ironically a prolonged federal government shutdown could throw into turmoil the implementation of the new tax law by the IRS and disrupt the start of the tax filing season.
So the GOP hopes that people would see more in their pay checks in February could be dashed since the IRS will not be around to send out revised advice to employers about deducting less tax. | The following 2 users would like to thank marton for this useful post:

US Govt. shutdown has started. What goes around comes around!
Trump spoke to “Fox & Friends” in 2013 and was asked who should be fired during a government shutdown.
Of course, Trump is in a better position than Obama; Obama did not have a majority in the House.
Like Trump, Obama had a majority in the Senate but not the full 60 votes.

You’ve got to hand it to Trump. He did say he’d run the US Government like one of his businesses. It’s only taken him a year to shut it down.
