#SchumerShutdown has not reached the top 10.

#SchumerShutdown has not reached the top 10. | | | | | Trump has said numerous times he thinks a shutdown would be good, so it's hard to pin this one completely on the Dems.
I also think passing the budget is going to get more challenging over the next 3 years with the tax cuts that they've passed. The funding has to come from somewhere, and it's unlikely the cuts will stimulate the economy enough to completely offset the loss of revenue. If they dare to cut Medicare and Social Security to reduce spending the Rs will lose big in the next elections.

#SchumerShutdown has not reached the top 10. Attachment 131651 | | | | | It's funny how Trump's attention seeking style of administration is attracting a spotlight to every aspect of his term. If he'd shut his big fat orange gob and get on with things without all the antics, frou-frou and fuss, this shutdown would probably not have attracted any more attention than the one in 2013 under Obama.

But apparently if he cut down on the MacDs he would live till he was 200, lets club together and send him some happy meals, while he's in Davos. | | | | | Im sure these people did not expect to increase turn-over during the WEF |

Of course some of his tweets last week also confused the situation and left the GOP Senate leader McConnel saying he does not know what Trump would approve.
Without 60 votes in Senate Trump needs diplomacy, a better approach would have been to call a bipartisan meeting to agree the best way forward for DACA.
I am sure history will label Trump's DACA decision as unwise.
Meanwhile VP Pence has flown off to the Middle East.
According to the White House presidential agenda Trump flew off to Florida yesterday; I assume they forgot to update it? Source | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post: | |

With a shut-down like this, the governmental employees are told to stay home. I read.
The Air Force One pilot, CIA etc. are governemental employees.
That would mean, Trump can not come to Switzerland?
What a wonderful timing this would be. And Berset could even pretend, he's sooo disappointed
(As I learnt last night, some Swiss want him to stay away from Trump, I personally don't care yet am curious who will end up looking the fool)

The shutdown excludes the POTUS and his staff.
He can still move around, even in AirForce One. But it's difficult to say if he has the balls to travel to Davos.
Though, given the preparations, I would assume a lot of the money has already been spent.
This all makes one realize just how simple life is here.

a true trolling masterpiece. | | | | | Hard to know what he has for an objective.
The GOP and the White House tried to counter the top trending #TrumpShutdown hashtag worldwide with the hashtag #SchumerShutdown.
Then Trump weighed in with a new hashtag #DemocratShutdown thus ensuring neither #DemocratShutdown nor #SchumerShutdown would ever be top trending.
Masterpiece

If Matthew Pinsent didn’t already have a knighthood I’d say he deserves one for this.

Trump has to do something that people will remember him by.
Like the Trump Tower he wants the Trump Wall......and nothing will stop him to try and get this. He's like a child that wants something and goes crazy until he gets it. | Quote: | | | | It's funny how Trump's attention seeking style of administration is attracting a spotlight to every aspect of his term. Getting nasty now. | Quote: | | | | Senator Duckworth (D-Ill.) slams Trump: I won't be lectured on military needs by a 'five-deferment draft dodger'
Duckworth is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel | | | | | Source
She even called him "cadet bone spurs"
And also said "If you cared about our military, you'd stop baiting Kim Jong Un into a war that could put 85,000 American troops, and millions of innocent civilians, in danger."
