Just finished Fire and Fury, I'm now of the opinion there was no Russian collusion, to paraphrase President Bannon 'how can they collude with the Russians when they aren't organised enough to collude with the state department'
Maybe the Russians did the organising, I would assume they would have to have, as as you say, Trump is only good for a bit of golf and his daily 5-minute-bloviate before he hits the sack to tweet.

The Russian story is incredibly stupid. If there were such russians who are so incredibly brilliant with election campaigns, they really ought to hire more of them. But there aren't any.

But if you want to see meddling in a democratic process, you ought to recall Obama telling the UK it will be left at the back of the queue if it votes for Brexit. LOL

And another one
New Jersey Republican Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen, the chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, announced Monday he will not seek re-election in 2018.

It is really becoming a major flood of GOP resignations.

I make it 41 GOP now and 17 Dems, 11 of the GOP are running for other roles.
Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), chairman of a key House committee, announced Wednesday that he will not run for reelection.

Gowdy is the 10th GOP committee chairman to head for the exit this cycle.
I do not believe there is any precedent for so many out of the GOP "Governing Wing" to have resigned in the same Congress session. Do they really believe the Democrats will be so successful in the November mid term elections?

Russians did not have to be clever they just used technology.
Russian-linked Twitter bots shared Donald Trump’s tweets almost half a million times during the final months of the 2016 election, Twitter Inc. said in a submission to Congress.

In a rare public statement on Wednesday, the FBI said it has "grave concerns" about a Republican-crafted memo alleging corrosive abuse of United States surveillance powers by the Justice Department that is expected to be released in the coming days.

Source

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) fired back at the FBI and Department of Justice on Wednesday for what he called “spurious objections” to the release of a GOP-authored memo purporting to show abuse of surveillance powers by the agencies.

Putin must be handing out major cash bonuses to his people who helped Trump get in!

Meanwhile

A train carrying Republican lawmakers to their annual GOP retreat in West Virginia collided with a dump truck in the crossing grade on Wednesday, leaving one truck passenger dead and several members of Congress injured.

I have been describing the GOP Congress as a slow motion train crash for a while now but I never thought they would do it for real

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The GOP turnover is great. It should be mandatory and capped at two terms. I don't like entrenched government officials. They start acting and believing like they own the place.

A lot of the Democrats also need to go. I really hope Nancy Pelosi and Pocahontas would also disappear.

The Swamp should be drained. The GOP should go nuclear and use their majority to legislate term limits before the 2018 elections.

Thank you for all of the nice compliments and reviews on the State of the Union speech. 45.6 million people watched, the highest number in history.
@FoxNews beat every other Network, for the first time ever, with 11.7 million people tuning in.
Delivered from the heart!
Barack Obama's first State of the Union address in 2010 had 48 million viewers.

Anyway we have given up expecting the truth from Donald haven't we?

Yeah, it doesn't work that way. Plus they aren't going to limit themselves when they're doing such a great job! They might talk about it to gain political points with the voters though.

Interesting tweet from ex-FBI director!

All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would. But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up.
Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy.

Thursday, Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Thune (R-S.D.) told reporters that Nunes should heed the FBI’s concerns and share the memo with Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) before releasing it publicly, noting that Burr has been unable to obtain the document.

Lawyers for Richard Gates, a former Trump campaign aide charged with tax fraud and money laundering last year as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, have filed a motion to leave the case.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

If Putin is so brilliant at democratic election campaigns, I wonder why he has to arrest his opponents?

We need to find these brilliant Russian trolls so that we can hire them as political consultants for upcoming elections.

The catch 22 here is admission of their existence is admission of the impoverishment of American intellect, and the admission of the illegitimacy of the current president. It's a fool's errand.
