Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The Trump administration today recommended that the current FBI building in downtown Washington, D.C., be torn down and replaced.

FBI experts and members of Congress were stunned by the announcement, since a number of years and millions of dollars have been spent to secure approval for sites in Maryland and Northern Virginia.

FBI officials have long expressed concerns that the current FBI headquarters could be vulnerable to attacks.

The GSA said the bureau would be temporarily relocated while the Hoover building is torn down and rebuilt.

Sounds like Trump believes that if they are in the chaos of such moves they will forget about him

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

More than one in three Trump administration staffers have left the White House in its first year, a pace that far eclipses the rate of departures in the previous five White Houses, according to a study done by Kathryn Dunn Tenpas of the Brookings Institute.
The pace of resignations, firings and other assorted departures from the Trump White House is twice what it was in George W. Bush's first year as president and triple that of Barack Obama's first year in office.

Source

Donald Trump boasted on the campaign trail that his White House team would feature the "best people in the world."
But his claim is being undercut by revelations that 30 to 40 people in the White House have yet to secure permanent security clearances a year into the administration and could potentially be unsuited to such high-level jobs.

Meanwhile as the Senate are debating new immigration rules there are allegations on the Internet that Melanie Trump only got a green card by marrying Donnie and then Melanie's parents came to the US via "chain migration".

Like the allegations about Obama's birth place, these allegations will continue to circulate until documentary evidence is made available; so far, the White House has not quashed these allegations!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

White House/Porter debacle continues...

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders claimed yesterday that the [FBI] background investigation into Porter was still ongoing when the [domestic abuse] allegations became public and he later resigned [last week].
Sanders also claimed that the White House did not learn "of the extent of the situation involving Rob Porter" until last Tuesday, when the allegations became public.

Today the FBI director Wray in sworn testimony stated;
"The FBI submitted a partial report on the investigation in question in March.
And then a completed background investigation in late July.
We received a request for follow-up inquiry and we did the follow-up and provided that information in November.

Source

Lying is now the way of life in the White House, even about things that can easily be proved to be lies.

Meanwhile Virginia Sen. Mark Warner in today's Senate hearing asked the following to reaffirm the intelligence community's findings last year that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, and that the Kremlin will continue to intervene in future elections
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, FBI Director Chris Wray, NSA Director Adm. Michael Rogers, Defense Intelligence Agency Director Lt. Gen. Robert Ashley and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency Director Robert Cardillo.
All said yes, under oath.

Source

A stance that appears at odds with President Donald Trump's repeated dismissals of Russian election meddling.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

New book coming out next month " The Gatekeepers: How the White House Chiefs of Staff Define Every Presidency", mostly about Reince Priebus, the last CofS.

Some quotes here; worth reading

Quote:
When it came to Mueller’s investigation, Priebus insisted he personally had nothing to worry about.
But Bannon warned that the hounds had been loosed. “You’ve got Mueller’s team, which has got 19 killers who are all experts in wire fraud, money-laundering, and tax evasion,” Bannon said. “Doesn’t sound like collusion to me. But they’ve got unlimited budgets and subpoena power.
And here’s what we’ve got on our side: two guys who’ve got legal pads and Post-Its.
Quote:
Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign to eradicate Obamacare went nowhere.
The debacle proved that Priebus could not count—or deliver—votes.
“When McCain voted against it,” Bannon recalled, “I said to myself, Reince is gone. This is going to be so bad. The president is going to get so lit up.”
Quote:
Priebus got an unexpected visit from the White House counsel—a story he has not told publicly before.
“Don McGahn came in my office pretty hot, red, out of breath, and said, ‘We’ve got a problem.’
I responded, ‘What?’ And he said, ‘Well, we just got a special counsel, and [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions just resigned.’
Quote:
Kushner did a slow burn.
He was livid, furious that the communications team could not defend Comey’s firing.
Bannon blew his stack. “There’s not a ing thing you can do to sell this!,” he shouted at Kushner. “Nobody can sell this! P. T. Barnum couldn’t sell this! People aren’t stupid! This is a terrible, stupid decision that’s going to have massive implications.
It may have shortened Trump’s presidency—and it’s because of you, Jared Kushner!”

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

It is Friday!!

The porn star Stormy Daniels says she is ready to spill the beans about a 2006 extramarital sexual encounter with the President now that Michael Cohen, the president’s personal attorney, has acknowledged he paid her $130,000 to not discuss the allegations publicly.

A lawyer for her says Cohen violated their nondisclosure agreement and therefore she’s preparing to tell the story in full.

Source

Could a lawyer really be so stupid as to both violate a nondisclosure agreement and fail to foresee the consequences?

Edit:- A former Playboy model who claims she had an affair with Donald Trump beginning in 2006 is going public

The crazy thing is that every other US politician would have to resign immediately. Trump however won't even get a bump in his armor, figuratively speaking.

She has also thoughtfully hung on to a garment bearing Trump's biological fluid, so if he denies it, the DNA can be checked.

As Phos so rightly puts it: He just keeps on winning.

No, not really!

However it is amusing to see how these extremely highly paid lawyers seem to make elementary mistakes; assuming it is correct that she is now released from her nondisclosure agreement!

There was also the Trump statement drafted by his lawyers that admitted he knew ex-general Flynn had lied to the FBI
