Donald "Walter Mitty" Trump. Brave, so brave.

That time he told Howard Stern what he did when an old man suffered a nasty fall...

"I was at Mar-a-Lago and we had this incredible ball, the Red Cross Ball, in Palm Beach, Florida. And we had the Marines. And the Marines were there, and it was terrible because all these rich people, they’re there to support the Marines, but they’re really there to get their picture in the Palm Beach Post… so you have all these really rich people, and a man, about 80 years old—very wealthy man, a lot of people didn’t like him—he fell off the stage.

"So what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died. And you know what I did? I said, 'Oh my God, that’s disgusting,' and I turned away. I couldn’t, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him… he’s bleeding all over the place, I felt terrible. You know, beautiful marble floor, didn’t look like it. It changed color. Became very red. And you have this poor guy, 80 years old, laying on the floor unconscious, and all the rich people are turning away. 'Oh my God! This is terrible! This is disgusting!' and you know, they’re turning away. Nobody wants to help the guy. His wife is screaming—she’s sitting right next to him, and she’s screaming.

"What happens is, these 10 Marines from the back of the room… they come running forward, they grab him, they put the blood all over the place—it’s all over their uniforms—they’re taking it, they’re swiping, they ran him out, they created a stretcher. They call it a human stretcher, where they put their arms out with, like, five guys on each side.

"I was saying, 'Get that blood cleaned up! It’s disgusting!' The next day, I forgot to call to say he’s OK. It’s just not my thing."

Geeee ! And I try to learn ENGLISH ,American or Canadian what ever . https://www.englishforum.ch/images/s...nsarcastic.gif

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

All White House aides, including Kushner, who were working on the highest-level temporary interim security clearances — at the Top Secret/SCI-level — were informed in a memo sent Friday that their clearances would be downgraded to the Secret level, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.

This is a messy situation where people who have been in place for over a year have been unable to have their security clearances finalised, presumably because the FBI found something in their background checks that prevented final clearance.

It has not been published if these people are able to do their jobs properly with just the lower level security level; presumably they will have to be excluded from any meetings classed at the higher level.

Trump could give them all higher level clearances with just the stroke of a pen but it might leave him looking exposed in the future if one, or more, of the aides is found to have serious security related issues.

Jason Greenblatt, the US envoy for Middle East peace, and Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and adviser, have been working on a new Middle East peace plan but since Trump's Jerusalem announcement it is believed the Palestinians are refusing to talk to them.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called at the UN this week for an international conference to be held by mid-2018 to launch a wider peace process in which the United States would not have the central mediating role.

More worrying to me is that they seem to have been given top security clearance before they'd been approved for it. If that's not ass about face I don't know what is.

Indeed completely crazy.

Edit; Four political appointees at the Commerce Department lost their jobs on Tuesday because of problems in their background checks, The Washington Post reported.

Whatever he tweets is usually reported in the mass media, so the reach of his bilious output is a lot further.

EF is not really a good source while probably less than 10% of Trump's tweets are re-posted here; none of his 10 tweets in the last 24 hours were quoted here.

Also I have the impression the mass media are quoting them less and less. They used to be a sort of stream of consciousness thing that gave some insight into his thinking but now he just seems to shotgunning tweets in all directions and sometimes contradictory. If one gets a good reaction then he doubles-down to try to score political points.

Meanwhile a spell in the White House administration used to be the ticket to a good job in private industry but now it is claimed to be the opposite for people leaving the Trump White House.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has asked witnesses about President Trump’s business dealings in Russia leading up to his decision to launch a presidential campaign in 2015, CNN reported late Tuesday.

Mueller’s team has reportedly asked witnesses recently about the timing of Trump’s decision to enter the presidential race, and whether the Russians may have compromising information on the president.

Trump has announced a 30% tariff on imported solar panels.

Source

Some organisations claim the solar industry employs more people than coal mining.

Likely the World Trade Organisation will strike down these tariffs but that will take a long time
Quote:
American solar company SunPower will lay off about 10 percent of its U.S. workforce in March, a decision that comes after President Trump began imposing new tariffs on imported solar materials earlier this month.

SunPower has already started the process of laying off between 150 and 250 workers, largely from its RND marketing positions, CEO Tom Werner told The Hill.

The cuts made by the publicly traded company, which is based in San Jose, Calif., are largely an effort to stop the bleeding from the new costs associated with the 30-percent tariffs, Werner said.

LOL. How high are the chances to receive asylum in a country by threatening it's president?

At the moment all I think is: She's as nutty as Trump in her perception of reality.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Lot happening today in the Trump soap opera

White House communications director Hope Hicks told members of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday that she is sometimes required to tell white lies as part of her work for President Trump, according to The New York Times.

Source

And now

Hope Hicks resigns from White House today!

Source

Now who will steam Trump's suits

Quote:
The Fire and Fury book from author Wolf claimed that one of the jobs of press secretary Hope Hicks, whom the president creepily calls “Hopester” and “Hopie,” was to press the president’s suits while he was still in them.

“‘Get the machine!’” Trump would yell, according to the book, the Post reports. “And Hope would take out the steamer and start steaming Mr. Trump’s suit, while he was wearing it! She’d steam the jacket first and then sit in a chair in front of him and steam his pants.”

Nope, nothing weird about pressing the president’s crotch while he’s in the pants.
