It couldn't possibly be that leftists don't see any problems with judging the appearance of Trump's wife (where my feminists at? ) yet for some reason can't do the same for Obama's wife. Funny that.

This 'affair' didn't happen whilst he was in office, so it's irrelevant. He hasn't laid himself open to blackmail whilst in a position where it could compromise security, which was the whole premise of the Profumo Affair.
| | | | | However, he has denied the affair ever took place. If she turns out to be telling the truth, he has lied whilst in office.
It also shows up the evangelical christian right for the heap of steaming hypocrites they are; they continue to support him, however much he is the absolute antithesis to their so-called "family values". Twats.

Life must be so simple in your monochromatic, dichotomous world.

So much for your intellectual honesty. It's one of the reasons you can't be taken seriously even when you try to give it your best. Or perhaps, especially when you do.

US Treasury coffers are looking empty.
The United States plans to try to sell about $294 billion of debt this week, according to the US Treasury Department. That's the highest for a week since the record set during the 2008 financial crisis.
One major cause is the drop in revenues due to the tax cuts.
Some media are speculating that the largest buyer of US Bonds, China, might sit out this one as warning to Trump.
I doubt this will happen but it would be interesting to see
The United States ran a $215 billion deficit in February, the biggest in six years. The annual budget deficit could exceed $1 trillion as soon as next year, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.
Meanwhile; The special counsel investigation revealed Tuesday night that prosecutors say they have connected former Trump deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates to a person with ties to a Russian intelligence service while Gates worked on the campaign.
The coming sentencing of a Dutch attorney, Alex van der Zwaan, revealed he recorded a phone call with Gates and the unnamed Eastern European associate. Source
Probably not a big deal as der Zwaan has not been named as a cooperating witness in the special counsel investigation unlike Gates himself.

It just seems like double standards when you're willing to rate Trump's wife (and apparently all of his ex-wives, who have absolutely nothing to do with his presidency) but you won't do the same for Michelle Obama.

Whatever her privileges, allowance or whatever perks she has, the humiliation must be awful for her. I'm guessing there is a reasonable amount of truth in the rumours (signed NDAs don't really point to innocence, rather damage limitation) and she knows it.

She lives a life of utter luxury, and she must have had at least a good idea what kind of person DT is when she agreed to whatever deal they concluded. If the situation is such a terrible thing she can walk away anytime. And if she has even half a brain (I'd be very surprised if she didn't) she'll have more to live on than the average voter and taxpayer she's freeloading off of for the time being.

Although right now would be a pretty good time to force through some renegotiations. And wouldn't Trump be proud to be the first sitting President to divorce! "Obama couldn't manage a divorce while he was in the Summer White House... still hasn't, I bet he can't, he's weak, sad..."
