I imagine Obama's "minority status" would've bumped him up a few places with the social science crowd. | | | | | Time for you to change your avatar...and thou shalt be heard!

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | I was wondering how long it would take you to mindlessly and uncritically post that poll.
Oh, but look what happens when you take ALL polls into consideration, not just one poll that's renowned for its right-leaning bias: 40.6% approve of Trump while 53.5% disapprove. And he's still considered the worst president of all time, while Obama is rated the 8th greatest by scholars of the Presidents & Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association, which is "the foremost organization of social science experts in presidential politics".
Keep on believing Trump's Twitter feed, though. | | | | | | Quote: | | | | Donald J. Trump

Thank you to Rasmussen for the honest polling. Just hit 50%, which is higher than Cheatin’ Obama at the same time in his Administration. | | | | | Strange how Trump secretly admires Obama and sees him as the Presidential standard setter to compare himself with?
I do not remember Obama or any other President feeling the need to compare themselves so often with former Presidents, or even at all?

I am right about Amazon costing the United States Post Office massive amounts of money for being their Delivery Boy. Amazon should pay these costs (plus) and not have them bourne by the American Taxpayer. Many billions of dollars. P.O. leaders don’t have a clue (or do they?)! | | | | | bourne? I do not know if he does this deliberately or is really dumb?
Somewhat strange grammar in the first sentence, surely USPS is delivering parcels for Amazon not the other way around?
Actually USPS prices are controlled by the Postal Regulatory Commission.
This is a federal agency with a GOP majority of Commissioners so Trump should be talking to them?
The President nominates the Commissioners and the Senate approves them.
There should be 5 Commissioners but currently there are only 4 and 2 of them are due to retire this year.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | 2024: Mueller closing in on Russia collusion | | | | | The challenge of commenting on the Mueller probe is we are all talking from the depths of ignorance.
The reason is Mueller manages his team very well so there are no leaks; we do not know what he is doing or what evidence he has found.
Sometimes the curtain is briefly pulled aside and we get a glimpse of the inner workings.
There was a good example this week, Manafort, who led the Trump campaign for several months in 2016, has challenged Mueller’s authority and asked a judge to dismiss an indictment charging him with crimes including money laundering conspiracy and false statements.
He said Mueller, who was assigned to investigate potential coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign, overstepped his bounds by charging him for conduct that occurred years before the 2016 election.
Now prosecutors revealed that Rosenstein (Deputy AG DOJ) wrote a memo last August that outlined the scope of Mueller’s appointment.
In addition to authorizing the Russia collusion investigation of Manafort, Rosenstein also authorized Mueller to investigate any crimes related to payments Manafort received from the Ukrainian government under former president Viktor Yanukovych that was before the election.
Interestingly most of the memo was blanked out so we do not know which other people were mentioned or what they are being investigated for. Source

Shepard "Shep" Smith is chief news anchor on the Fox News Channel.
He just ripped apart Trumps tweets about Amazon in total "none of that was true" and in detail here.

I imagine Obama's "minority status" would've bumped him up a few places with the social science crowd. | | | | | What did he do from whatever he promised during his electoral campaign? If I were American I would keep an eye on this, not on the numerous articles following his tweets. Why do you think it's only because of the media? Maybe it's what he did (or didn't do). Seriously, I can understand the (many a time uncritical) support he has gathered, but I would also expect his electorate to be disappointed.
As for Obama, I'm not sure what bumped him up a few places at the time - was it ACA or his minority status...
Btw, do you really like him because you like him or you'd love the "thug" or "outsider" archetype to succeed and make a fool of the "alt-left"* crowd?

$14billion in soybean exports to china just got slapped with a 25% tariff.
8 of the 9 biggest producing states of Soybean voted for Trump.
China striking where its likely to hurt trump most - his base. Meanwhile Airbus is rubbing its hands in glee, as is the rest of the EU.
China/USs loss is our gain, ladies and gentlemen. Let the trade war commence!
