Plus he seems to have a 'loveable' quality about him, he's like a grandpa who just blurts out inappropriate things.

8 of the 9 biggest producing states of Soybean voted for Trump.
China striking where its likely to hurt trump most - his base. Meanwhile Airbus is rubbing its hands in glee, as is the rest of the EU.

When you’re already $500 Billion DOWN, you can’t lose! | | | | | I am not sure Trump understands exactly what is a trade gap?
He seems to think it is actually a financial loss?
Any way if you take all goods and services into account the gap is ca. $330 billion not $500 billion, which is still a big chunk of change!

Like a real businessman - pragmatic. If you can't beat them .... join them. Join the unique party system and centralised turbo-capitalism, the absolute control. Putin would love that too. lol
Oh well, rest assured those who fear the nuclear button - they all get along up there. Omtastat, you're safe.

Looks like we've been wrong about Trump. The tide has certainly turned; now even the Bezos-owned Washington Post, the formerly fakest of newspapers out there, has recognised Trump for the singularly great man he is and is singing his praises. How Trump is transforming himself into the greatest president ever
It seems that the question raised by this thread has now been well and truly answered by the great man himself.

| | Re: Will Trump be a Good President? | Quote: | | | | | | | | | | The number of migrants trying to illegally cross into the US at the Mexico border spiked dramatically in March 2018, last month's numbers were three times those of March 2017.
A senior administration official had told reporters on a call Wednesday announcing Trump's move to send National Guard troops to the border that the numbers were up substantially. Source
Reminds me of King Canute trying to stop the tide.
Not sure how helpful the National Guard will be, many illegal immigrants enter the US with short term visas and simply overstay! | Quote: | | | | An estimated 629,000 visitors to the United States — just over 1 percent of all travelers — remained in the country at the end of last year after overstaying their visas as students, workers or tourists, according to a report by the Department of Homeland Security. | | | | | Source
Some research here; "Since 2007 Visa Overstays have Outnumbered Undocumented Border Crossers by a Half Million"

But honestly, nobody could wear that suit properly. What is this? Chinese polyester? | | | | | No, another of Trump's talents is to make really expensive suits look cheap .
"He wears off-the-rack, Brioni almost all the time. I read he only owns two suits that aren’t Brioni - and these were made by a small Brooklyn tailor
Brioni suits are very expensive. About as expensive as you can get. More than twice as expensive as Armani. Even an off-the-rack Brioni is about $6000."

It's just a style in some American circles - btw, kudos to Melania for she doesn't (yet) look like a Southern belle, well the modern version of. We don't like it in Europe, but on the other hand I, for one, was never fond of those hats British women love to wear in certain situations...I always found them slightly ridiculous, a bit like I do find Trump's style now. De gustibus....

Honestly he can shuffle around in robe and slippers if he wants, so long as he doesn't nuke the planet. |

I want all the impeccable, fit and chic folks who are ripping on Potus, to look in the mirror...oh wait, I guess the PC/cell screen doesn't come with it.
This debate is amusing. I really do think if he looked better, dressed better, had an uglier wife, more palatable and sophisticated manners, debates like these would still pop up like spring flowers |

If people feel the urge to compulsively comment on potus but avoid to debate his politics...there is something his marketing team is doing right. What was it again about his suits/ties/wife/tan?
Has anyone noticed the little Fox News schtick with the Honduras caravan two days ago and a fresh deployment news yesterday? Or were we busy looking at his ill fitting suit? I gotta give it to him. The whole spectacle. Cnn is grinding their teeth...slowly being phased out by the same lack of focus.

Someone as infamous and as divisive as Trump understandably invites ridicule on every level and that includes the superficial aspects. His politics and history have been discussed to death and so are his ongoing political antics, so why not his wardrobe?

Seems some State Governors are saying they will refuse to send their National Guard troops to the Mexico border to control immigration.
Do they have that power? I suppose it would finish up in Court about the relevance of the PCA Act?
Do the States have to pay for the deployment or does the Federation have to pay?
