Trump has no class. Does that then mean that nobody else should?
TBH I've always thought the correspondents' dinner was supposed to be a place where the president and staff and media could have a good laugh. Sometimes there's a lack of class in the jokes but mostly it's (supposedly) in good fun.

You and I, as non-Trump groupies, can say some of her stuff lacked taste and class. OTOH when Trump lovers and Trump himself cry foul, it's a bit much. But not unexpected.

No does not mean that.

There is a theory that Trump only decided to run for President after Obama roasted him at such an event

I'm sure she thought she did.

I found it juvenile at best. I'd have expected something more, given the audience.

I find her performance very classy to be honest.
And I absolutely love that she hasn't apologized so far.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I thought the Michelle Wolf section was very poor, the segment causing the furore was just mean and tbh pretty unfunny, 'maybe she's born with it, maybe it's just lies, it's probably lies' what?

Dave Chappelle appreciated it though

The hypocritical pearl-clutching of the reps was so predictable, as was the truth about Trump writing his own doctor's letter; no one believed that but his supporters.

Though the saddest thing about the whole affair is the talking heads getting so upset at Wolf's performance and not at all upset about the last line.

The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong.
I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow.

They are doing a great job and have shown conclusively that there was no Collusion with Russia just excuse for losing.
The only Collusion was that done by the DNC, the Democrats and Crooked Hillary.
The writer of the story, Maggie Haberman, a Hillary flunky, knows nothing about me and is not given access

Seems the New York Times was correct.
John Dowd resigned 11 days after this tweet and Ty Cobb today. With Cobb’s departure, Trump’s legal team has almost completely turned over since special counsel Robert Mueller took over the Russia probe last year which does not look like a winning strategy.

New layers hired since this tweet include Giuliani, Jane and Martin Raskin and ironically it is now claimed he will hire Clinton impeachment lawyer Emmet Flood.

Meanwhile it is claimed Cambridge Analytica, the political consulting firm at the center of the data scandal that has engulfed Facebook, is shutting down, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Trump has again threatened his own Justice Department on Twitter today.

The markets are definitely up due to Trump. When his agenda is sidetracked, the market drops along with the fake news.

By golly, I think Trump is going to win this one as well.

Its the trendline that is worth noting, and trajectory certainly looks good. Certainly there will be bubbling, but volatility is part of a robust market. When prices go down, it is the time to buy.
Dow closed under 24,000 again today.

Hope nobody followed that advice in January "it is the time to buy".

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

Trump's new lawyer Giuliani was on Fox News yesterday. I assume he knows what he is doing but he made some statements that sounded like he was throwing Trump under the bus

Quote:
President Trump reimbursed his personal attorney Michael Cohen the $130,000 paid to adult-film star Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about their alleged affair.
Trump is on tape denying he knew about the payment!
Cohen has said that he made the payment, but that it was made with money out of his own pocket?
Source

Quote:
“He fired Comey because Comey would not, among other things, say that he wasn’t a target of the investigation”
This is a new reasons and seems to be in the direction of "obstruction of justice" if Trump fired Comey because he believed he was a target of the investigation?
Anyway Trump stated in his letter informing Comey of his dismissal that the former FBI director had told him he wasn’t under investigation so someone is lying?

That's the problem with lies:
You need to remember them in detail and stick to them, you as well as all others in the know. Of course the higher the personnel turnover the more unlikely this is to work.

Seems that Giuliani said what he said (that Trump paid Cohen for paying off Stormy Daniels with his own money) on Fox News deliberately. The point being to avoid accusations of misuse of campaign funds.

But in exchange, he implicitly admits that Trump lied earlier. Getting off that hook is done by saying that the money was part of a large reimbursement of expenses and Trump can't be expected to know the detail. Good luck with that argument in court!
