We lost Phos' occasional "Winning" outbursts so it's left for supporters to throw shade at the nay-sayers. | | | | | To be honest, I think most are just bored of this anti-Trump echo chamber.

When Phos, Kriss Kross and a few others are active on it, it becomes a Trump fan club. I guess they run out of steam for a few weeks and it swings the other way.

The Failing and Corrupt @nytimes estimated the crowd last night at “1000 people,” when in fact it was many times that number - and the arena was rockin’. This is the way they demean and disparage. They are very dishonest people who don’t “get” me, and never did! | | | | | I doubt we will eve know how many people actually did turn up!
Most newspapers took the safe route of simply saying the crowd was smaller than last time.
According to a local newspaper source "Trump places Nashville rally crowd size above arena capacity, disputes reports"
Joseph Pleasant, a spokesman for the Nashville Fire Department, said the building has a capacity of around 9,600.
"Our Fire Marshal's office counted around 5,500 people who attended the rally last night," he said. Source
There are photos in the internet of empty seats and claims that there were offers of $100 to attend. |

San Juan mayor wears hat reflecting Puerto Rico's revised death toll from Hurricane Maria
Cruz, who criticized the Trump administration for not doing enough to help Puerto Rico in the wake of the hurricane, shared the photo one day after the study by the New England Journal of Medicine, which claims the hurricane death toll is more than 70 times larger than the official government death toll.
The problem for Cruz is the numbers are too big; to quote Stalin "A Single Death is a Tragedy; a Million Deaths is a Statistic".
They should be throwing people in jail for the unnecessary failures in support that led to so many deaths.
To quote the Commander in Chief | Quote: | | | | Donald J. Trump@realDonaldTrump
Nobody could have done what I’ve done for #PuertoRico with so little appreciation. So much work! | | | | | | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

Sadly if you keep portraying immigrants as criminals, drug runners & animals then there will always be some red cap wearers who don't "get the context" and feel empowered. | This user would like to thank marton for this useful post:

It seems to be the thing to do in politics, lately, there and in other countries too. Unfortunately, this type of public discourse is affecting real people in many other ways than the most primitive form - physical attacks. How about institutionalised racism or discrimination? Now that Trump has done it, in his own style, maybe this issue will get the attention it needs because there is a correlation between what politicians say and the level of hate crimes or other kind of abuses.
*in all fairness, the media confers them an entire apparatus to propagate their views or simply, their electoral strategies. There is a fine line between freedom of speech and xenophobia or racism which is constantly crossed by many public figures.

That would be aimed at Trump then.

There still seems to be a (deliberate?) disconnect here. Taking the piss out of characteristics you can control and those you cannot are not the same thing.
Unacceptable:
Race
Gender
Sexuality
Disability
Acceptable: (which is generally, but not always of course, where Trump receives criticism)
Poor decisionmaking
Dress sense
Hairstyle
Weight is a sensitive one, but in all honesty, if you are a fat fugger because you spend your days eating Big Macs and Filets O Fish, you are fair game. If you bloat up due to hormones or medication, then again, not a great target.
Punching up, or punching down, in a nutshell.

Almost Friday! | Quote: | | | | President Trump wants to impose a total ban on the imports of German luxury cars, according to a new report from CNBC and German magazine WirtschaftsWoche.
Several U.S. and European diplomats told the news outlets that Trump told French President Emmanuel Macron about his plans last month during a state visit.
Trump reportedly told Macron that he would maintain the ban until no Mercedes-Benz cars are seen on Fifth Avenue in New York. | | | | | One fly in Trump's ointment is that Mercedes-Benz have a very large factory in Alabama, USA that recently produced their 3 millionth vehicle.

Just Googled Kim Kardashian Trump to try to find out why she's suddenly an authority on prison reform and sentencing (she doesn't seem to be) and then thought "Kim Kardashian Trump", eh? That could be a thing. He is looking very pleased in the picture of them together and it isn't as if he doesn't have a track record.

Trump is doubling down on his trade war tariffs by implementing steel and aluminium tariffs on Canada, Mexico and EU.
Both EU and Mexico have said they will implement anti US tariffs, so far Canada has said ""These tariffs are an affront to the long-standing security partnership between Canada and the United States, and in particular, to the thousands of Canadians who have fought and died alongside American comrades-in-arms," and announced they will implement retaliatory tariffs on steel and aluminum.
In response the Dow fell 200 points so far which is a relatively mild reaction.
Meanwhile it was expected the Supreme Court would rule on Trump's Muslim ban by end May ( hearing on 25th April); anyway technically they have until end of June,
Trump's wife Melania has not been seen in public since May 10 missing the Memorial day activities. Probably related to recovery from her benign kidney operation.
Internet is full of rumours about this operation; I doubt the scurrilous rumour that she is acting against Trump's interest in porn stars with a breast enlargement
Some say Melania should not be a topic but Trump's attacks on McCabe's wife negates this view!
