Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

The whole point is - he is deliberarely trying to be against "grace", or political correctness, if you will. It's a schtick and people are eating it up and flaming him for lack of grace while he is trying to explain that the whole world has been manipulated by this swallen idea of identity politics, I mean graceful politeness aka political correctness while nothing gets done, not even for the people it supposed to protect.

He is not clumsy. He is against a very precise concept. While he is trying to have stuff moving, produce, employ, look for accountability while deflating gov admin.

It is good to debate. I do where I see others being interested in debating.

For lack of debating skills and ad hominem arguments, a jolie example of obvious identity politics, watch Dyson lose, ungracefully:

Stupid and contagious: What if Donald Trump is not “dumbing down” and actually is this dumb?

While I also have a few issues against identity politics, positive discrimination and the likes, I do believe in a sanitised political message. I don't agree with him using that language, or with the ban attempt and of course, some other things that unfortunately I don't have the time now to write more about.

I'll try to find more about what has been done actually - not a bad thing if his priorities were to employ, look for accountability and deflate state administration.
I'm afraid that in all this noise and tweets and comments on tweets nobody understands anything anymore. And I don't think I'm going to find any answers in an echo chamber. Friends and relatives there are rather reluctant to talk about politics.....and I don't blame them. It's disappointing at all level and on each side if you ask me.

There is, in my view, a difference between grace and political correctness. You can be PC without grace, and you can be graceful without being PC.

You can walk into a china shop with a hammer, smash all the china, but still raise your stetson and wipe your feet on the way out.

Trump chose not to wipe his feet and the collective ire of angry haters is grilling him for the hat. Nobody is having an intelligent discussion about the china.

It's utterly absurd.

But I digress.

Brexiteers were called "uninformed" or ignorant, and all hell broke loose on EF. I have never seen more bile thrown in the direction of those who dared to point out the mass manipulation at the time.
Given that some 80% of the UK press by circulation was pro Brexit, I would say the manipulation was in the Brexit direction.

As if it was, really, really personal!!! Some of the people that appreciate...grace now. lol. What's different this time around? Are the Americans some Anglo-trash that doesn't deserve any courtesy? Arguing ad nauseam about an elected president of a foreign country is....weird. He's vulgar, he's this or that. I can agree on some of those points. As far as his actions go, I'm still waiting to "judge"* the man by his deeds, not words.
*as if that would count anyway...so yeah, for me personally not the discussion itself is obsolete, but being carried away in this environment. It's totally compromised here. Hope not all his opponents are cut from the same material.
"Arguing ad nauseam about an elected president of a foreign country is....weird" Well so far he has managed to increase the price of petrol I buy here and the price of heating oil I will soon have to order simply by him cancelling the Iran deal.
I fear more prices will rise due to his trade wars.

This would be more convincing if Trump did not react so badly when people do the same to him.

When people insult him or his family he immediately calls for them to be fired which is an extreme snowflake reaction

Again, somebody who makes effort to comment on my personality. Why even. You assume I actually like somebody in US politics. I have to say, that unfortunately I don't. I do like courage to stand up. And I see what Trump is doing. While people get busy analyzing his personality and waxing on details of his insanity...he's already ahead. I think he was better choice of the two options exactly for the type of ruccus he is deliberately causing. People do not trust anyone in the US, often not even their own families or friends. He is campaigning for more trust, with his twitter schtick. It is daft and looks authentic. He is campaigning for traditional values, for families and small businesses, small govs having more say than feds, local communities being more responsible and powerful (and accountable!) than white collar officers godknows how far eho eat up too much budget. He is supporting countries and members of far away communities to be able to deal with their own problems and not via the US, they know better. Hence the ban. US is not so powerful and it shouldn't be, internationally. The bans exist everywhere. Only the members of troubled communities can fix stuff, internally.

He is the definition of anti-scripted scenarios. I would lie if I thought it is him behind it...but maybe it is. He is quite appalling and provocative but it looks genuine. A heavy callibre for heavy callibre country and culture. People want philosophy and sophistication while he's like..."dude, somebody needs to foot the bill first".

a. its no comment on your personality but a comment on the attitudes thrown about by people who support Trumpian ideas, i.e. ideas for a bygone era. I kind of have a fairly clear picture of your personality, from your previous posts.

b. he is drawing greater divides in US society then any other President ever has.

c. What sort of statement is that: "People do not trust anyone in the US, often not even their own families or friends".?

d. He looks after his own interests, that of his family and of his business partners and the rich.

e. He doesn't know what traditional values are? Inciting racial hatred, isn't a traditional value.

f. The only country he supports is Trumpistan and his idea of what America should be, but not what it actually is.

g. This last bit I don't understand what you are trying to say here its gibberish.

"small govs having more say than feds, local communities being more responsible and powerful" Like sanctuary cities, legalising marijuana, offshore drilling, concealed carry, protecting their national monuments and wild life sanctuaries from mining?

"he's like..."dude, somebody needs to foot the bill first"" But Trump's deficits for his first four years will total $5.6 trillion.
Trump has not fulfilled his campaign promise to cut the debt. Instead, he's done the opposite. Based on the score from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), his budget deal would increase next year's deficits to roughly $1.2 trillion. Annual deficits would remain over $1 trillion indefinitely.

Please post the list of Trump's achievements in the 500 days he has been President.

For the first year or so, the best he could come up with was the appointment of a Supreme Court justice. Wow, amazing job, considering his party holds the Presidency, House and Senate. (And Gorsuch has voted with his liberal colleagues more than once...)
