What has that got to do with the post-election hate crimes we are discussing? Hint: it occurred in June in 2011.

Did that crime even have anything to do with Trump or the election? No, I thought not. Perhaps move it to another thread?

As I previously said, in this digital age one would think that with a wave of Trump-inspired hate attacks there would be some video footage.
You know, like the anti-Trump hate attacks like the man in Chicago who was beaten by a group for supposedly supporting Trump and the 15 year old student who was bashed for having a Trump hat.
Most people don't do graffiti in the open, with lots of people around. That would be my guess.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

I'm really not following the direction of the thread, why is there any discussion about how his supporters, or his opponents are or are not behaving?

We know for sure, he's a piece of shit, he's vindictive, a liar, a misogynist, a demagogue, childish, ill informed, petty and self obsessed. These aren't up for debate, they are a matter of public record. Don't groan, give me any redeeming characteristic, give me one thing about this man that I could nod at and think 'yeah maybe he deserves a chance' one thing that shows an ounce of character.

There's nothing, he is an abomination.

As I wrote, you will have to wait a while for real evidence to appear.
If you really believe what is written in newspapers is "evidence" then nobody can help you!

You will have to wait a while for the 2016 numbers, patience is a virtue!

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

If you add up the personal wealth of the people chosen to be in Trump's Cabinet then it adds to about one third of the total wealth (vermogen) in USA.

I am sure they are dedicated to improving the life style of the "underclass" who voted for Trump?

Rex Tillerson as the new Secretary of State
I understand the sanctions will be lifted by the end of January...
Quote:

I think this is a good pick. Rex is a self made engineer who worked his way up the corporation. Been following him for a while--he does have a way with foreign affairs.
Rex Tillerson, the businessman nominated by Donald Trump to be the next US secretary of state, is the long-time director of a US-Russian oil firm based in the tax haven of the Bahamas, leaked documents show.

Tillerson – the chief executive of ExxonMobil – has been a director of the oil company’s Russian subsidiary, Exxon Neftegas, since 1998. His name – RW Tillerson – appears next to other officers who are based at Houston, Texas; Moscow; and Sakhalin, in Russia’s far east.

Well he does have good connections and will certainly lift sanctions soon

Lucky he is not part of the elite or in the swamp

Thank you for the correction.

Anyway these Cabinet members have between them a big chunk of change; hope they remember the poorer people who voted Trump in.

I wouldn't bet on it.

Anyway, the electoral voters will vote him in....Hillary still won the popular vote.

Re: Will Trump be a Good President?

So Trump easily got his 270 electoral college votes.
As expected there were some "faithless electors" so far six (more than for many years), surprisingly four of them were Democrats

A further three refused to vote for Clinton but the situation was resolved in Clinton's favour.

A fitting weird end to a weird election.

I wonder why (some of) Clinton's electors chose not to vote for her?

Strange?

Because HRC and the DNC chose not to be very democratic and forcfully ousted Bernie Sanders who would have won the election. I know some dems who voted for Trump becasue of their disdain for HRC. Basically the Democratic Party itself lost the election. Those electors were just doing their rightful job. Pity the rest couldnt follow suit. The whole EC was made to prevent what we have now. Major fail.
